The way Attack on Titan writes mystery should honestly be studied for generations to come. That series the definition of the phrase 'I did not see that coming'.
Kagurabachi, memes aside, is genuinely such an amazing manga so far. Sojo is one of, if not the best early antagonists I've ever seen. And the entire Rakuzaichi arc going on right now is just straight peak every chapter with incredible art, action and character writing. It has a bit of a slow start in my opinion, but when it picks up it just does not let you go.
@@Aluja77 Have you even read it past like 3 chapters lmao Every person I know who has actually read Kagurabachi until at least the Sojo arc loves it. Everyone has their own opinion ofc but Kagurabachi's writing is incredibly good
Dropped it when they talked about Rakuzaichi in the car. Its just isnt special at all, also the drawing sucks. Its almost as bad as JJK which is also Mid imo. I just dont get why I would continue it when there is so much better stuff to read
@@gekuul9616 Just happy for you that you like it but I wish I could show you all these Manga´s that are just better to start than continue the Manga. You feel me?
its kinda crazy to think Fujimoto is a big reason that Hells paradise, Spy x Family, and Dandadan exist, since the creators for all three originally worked under Fujimoto when he was making Fire punch/Chainsawman
Why would he talk about an up and coming new manga? Is that how easy new manga/shows get popularized and overblown? Wait a few years and many seasons and then let's talk again.
Sakamoto Days, Jujutsu Kaisen & Kagurabachi are some of my favorite manga I’ve been recently reading. You should definitely check out SD & KGB, they’re both great & the Rakuzaichi arc in KGB has been heat.
15:32 Other shows have taken the top spot from FMAB in the past. Your Name is probably the most popular example, but my favorite is Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card taking the spot for one day.
Yes there have been quite a lot over the years! But Frieren is surprisingly the only one that was able to keep that spot and probably will never lose it to FMAB like the others have
Glad you are keeping up with this format. Do you think you could cover some of the older anime? Shows like Gungrave, Hellsing, and Samurai Champloo come to mind.
I’m glad you enjoy the videos! I might be able to cover Hellsing in a seinen explained video, I’m not sure how I would be able to cover the other 2 though. Maybe some day!
@@jaydonefilms Maybe do an 'Indie' or 'Standalone' episode? Something of a catch-all would definitely do you some good for shows that don't quite fit into one genre.
About your concerns on Spy X Family, the manga past the second season is more action focused and actually gets really deep at times. Besides that, I'm hyped for the Sakamoto Days anime!
love how you explain stuff on this channel, especially anime based but, i noticed you didnt talk much on the story of some manga's on the roster. Like My hero and Demon slayer. overall it was still a great video.
I love how everyone complains about demon slayers receptive nature but LITERALLY EVERY OTHER SHOIEN DOES THIS when its black clover or fairy tale do their 20th tournament arc, everyone is fine with it, but when demon slayer makes fights, everyone complains!!
nobody asked but i think that he was absolutely tight about how aot became so entwined into the mainstream for years i thought anime was weird and i saw one segment of an episode on a film review it looked so cool so i watched the first episode and then every single one after that personally i think its one of the best tv shows/stories of all time
@@jaydonefilms well if you really ever going to do this again I recommend the manga gachiakuta for you And if you want underrated one, here's Tougen anki
I personally am an anime guy as well. So yeah I can understand what you mean when you said that a story has to be very compelling to get you to read the manga. Although to be honest with you there are some shows that are so good that you might want to read the manga.
Unpopular opinion and possibly harsh slurs upcoming: 0:05 sure that might be the internet’s opinion, but if you read the true ending according to the manga; you’d rather kys than agree with the internet with that statement. That there is my opinion on it, although out of the anime in this video it isn’t the worst. In my personal opinion, there are 2 anime in this video worse than Attack on Titan; the best of the worst being JJK because it has a consistent story yet still has shit writing and the best thing you can say about it is that it has good animation. The worst of the worst (in this video) is most definitely Demon Slayer; the story is absolutely dogshit, the only reason people even like the show is because of the animation, if anyone who just likes demon slayer because of the animation starts reading the manga; it’s either gonna be the worst choice they’ve done, or they’ve become delusional because they liked it.
You're a jealous toddler. Anyone who looks at facts, logic and data instantly proves your faulty argument wrong. Everyone and their mother loves Demon Slayer's story and doesn't give a crap about animation like you do. Stop watching things for pretty lights and mindless action and start watching things for deep stories and great writing, then you'll like demon slayer.
@@dwaynemorse5000 well, if you've read the manga: 1: Gege is killing off every single character. 2: So many plot points copy bleach. 3: Gojo's existence; if Gege hated him so much why not just kill him whenever he got captured during the hidden inventory arc, why wait until the very last moment. And on top of that; why even write a character you hate and want to kill off. I also have hated Gojo from the start, his personality and mentality are so shit and it just pissed me off so much I couldn't even finish season 1 of the anime.
1.hes not killing off every character read the manga 2.name what plot points copied bleach 3.he doesn’t hate gojo, he hates that he created him so strong and has to write around him, stop reading shit online and taking it as fact
@@dwaynemorse5000 gojo's death is very similar to yamamoto's death. gojo and yamamoto are both the "strongest" and they both die getting cut in half by the true strongest
I personally I'm against of what Mappa did to chainsaw man, if they did a good adaptation of the manga by keeping the tone, having that more serious approach in the second half (like they unnecessarily did in season 1) it would've hit a lot harder for anime only viewers, just like in the source material and how manga readers experienced the story. What we ended up getting was a knock off wannabe american thriller instead of the bombastic anime manga fans were expecting.
@@trle964 Nah, we got an adaptation from a pretentious director that turned a shonen manga into a wannabe american thriller. I wish csm had a director who understood the vision of the manga and translate that to the medium of animation like Jojo or Mob psycho, but we ended up with a director that turned chainsaw man into something else, but since it has good animation anything is forgiven, right?
I don't like how you glazed JJK, It is one of the most unoriginal animes ever, yet you didn't mention its originality like you did for other anime. And unique power system??? there are instances where jjk hs blatantly copied stuff word to word from the big 3 and hxh. and what world has jjk build?? 💀
@@xandex69 ok let's be honest. These are shows which have good writing but doesn't have action sequences even near ds s1, let alone entertainment district and jjk is leagues ahead. It's impossible to write shonen with both good writing and good action. You seem to be the story guy more than action. I only watch shonen when I'm tired of seinen
@@Agnos15 still not comparable to jjk or demon slayer. Fma is my 2nd fav anime of all time but i didn't watch it for its action. It just had consistent action throughout, an 8 for me and aot didn't have that good action sequences ngl, the emotions behind the action scenes make then better, not the action itself. Beast titan vs levi was the only one I think action carried instead of the story otherwise it's pretty mediocre if watched without context
How was season 4 & 5 of MHA repetitive? They were the best seasons & had massive world building with organized crime, the history of Destro & meta abilities being the origin of quirks, the doctor & the Shiketsu school. I swear, nobody I see that hates on the direction of seasons 4 & 5 MHA can ever give me a legitimate answer why. The story & character development was at its peak, they’re just mad that there isn’t a war or gore every 3 minutes despite seasons 4 & 5 having the first actual deaths in the series. & season 6 is ironically the ugliest season adaptation-wise. I agree that it’s peak, but it’s so disrespectful to the source material by removing so much impact & detail.
Demon Slayer has the most depth and nuance and development. It's way more than just fights, that's a terrible description. Also it was popular beforehand. Also the adaptation is terrible.
I don't think TMS Ent. could manage or even withstand the overwhelming action and fight scenes in the source material...so bro, u might be discouraged with the adaptation, better read Sakamoto Days, TRUST ME BRO !
