Super pumped to check out this video covering every Ali fight! Ali's legacy in the ring is unparalleled, and I'm genuinely excited to relive the intensity and skill displayed in each bout. From the "Rumble in the Jungle" to the "Thrilla in Manila," Ali's fights are more than just sports events; they're iconic moments in history. Looking forward to the nostalgia and inspiration this video is sure to bring!

Charles...when I saw the title of this video, I was of course excited and looked forward to diving in. I applaud you. Big respect. This video had some clips that I had not seen. Which was amazing for me because I thought I had unearthed most of the existing footage of Muhammad outside of the ring. What an amazing job you did. The music behind the fight footage lended amazing flavor. The punch sound effects of the punches and the misses was a great touch. The movie footage placements were spot on. This was emotional for me. I have watched this now 10 times and each time different emotions were evoked. It also sparked some more video ideas for you that I hope you will consider for the channel. I would like to communicate these with you privately on Twitch if possible so that no other RU-vidr will try to "take them". If you would open a whisper with me on Twitch I will be happy to give them to you. This is the best fight by fight documentary of Muhammad Ali that I have seen. If anyone else attempts one, yours will be the standard by which the others are measured. I believe that Muhammad lived a great life, but he also endured more than most both in and out of the ring. Who else as a champion would give up the PRIME of thier career for something that they believed in? Only Muhammad. No one talked the talk and walked the walk like him. No one. Who faced tougher competition in the ring? No one. Liston, Frazier, Norton, Foreman, Shavers, were all monsters. Who faced tougher opposition outside the ring? No one. The country literally took everything away from him. Everything. And still he stood firm. You characterized the Holmes and Berbick fights perfectly. And I cant bring myself to re-watch them. Yes they happened. Did they take anything away from his legacy? Absolutely not. I feel badly about his physical deterioration in his later life, but I also believe he showed incredible strength in his later years by sharing his journey with a world of people who loved him so much. I learned something from him even then. It takes strength to endure and there is strength in weakness. Angelo Dundee said on a number of occasions. "Muhammad always did exactly what he wanted to do." To those who think that anyone was better than Muhammad hasn't studied him enough. He changed the landscape sports. He made sports into a big money industry. Every athlete making money hand over fist right now owes Muhammad a debt of gratitude. Countless people who have taken stands on worthy issues have cited Muhammad as thier inspiration. He shook up the world. The world is still shaking. His legacy will endure forever because he stood up against impossible odds and challenges and he won almost all of them. Anyone who hasn't watched "Muhammad Ali: Through The Eyes of The World" or "Champions Forever" I highly recommend them. Charles, my sincerest thank you for this amazing chronicle. Big love to you from Okinawa Japan.

Sir, I thank you. I'll definitely head over and check my Whispers. You have a way with words. This man, Muhammad Ali, has somehow touched so many of us and without ever actually meeting us. His title of "The Greatest" goes so far beyond the ring. I'll make sure to credit you for any request you have that I should use. Again, thank you. This film is very special to me and I stopped everything else I was doing to focus on it. He's the reason I'm a fan and I'll always owe it to Mr. Ali. May he rest in peace. 10 times viewing is also a very high honor that I don't take for granted sir. Stay frosty 🙏🏾 What's your username on TWITCH? I'll open a whisper ASAP.

Excellent video a great overview of the career of Ali. It is quite unlikely we will see a heavyweight that is as dominant as Ali in our lifetime ever although Wladimir Klitschko came close because of his few losses and him being unable to hang on just a little bit longer losing to Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua he fell just short and the current champions we have are Tyson Fury and Usyk are currently too old to rack up the accomplishments that Ali had. The only people that have a chance of getting to Ali's level right now are the young Moses Itamau, Richard Torrez, or Jared Anderson if they quickly swipe the crown and defend it with near perfect performances for a long long time but that's too tall of an order I believe I don't expect them to do it.

the henry cooper fight is a very interesting one to me- aside from all the controversy i think it not only showed that ali was able to overcome adversity, but dundee was a tremendous second who knew what to do to get his fighter to win

OK, so regarding Muhammad Ali's promo style and character, according to former pro wrestling manager, promoter, and current wrestling historian Jim Cornette, Muhammad's character was actually based on Freddie Blassie, not Gorgeous George.
@boxingpedia
@boxingpedia 4 месяца назад
Really!? Ali himself said it was Gorgeous George? That's a new layer to look into.
@dashauncarney9651
@dashauncarney9651 4 месяца назад
@boxingpedia According to Cornette's podcast, when Ali met Blassie, he mentioned to Blassie that it was him that influenced his interview style. Cornette also mentioned that it made sense considering that Blassie was arguably the best talker in pro wrestling at the time and that Gorgeous George wasn't really known for his promos.

The talking style definitely from blassie, but gorgeous george that inspired him to be a 'villain'. He really success to make people hate him that grant him title match against liston.
