I was really surprised when loading into $1.78, the fact that official levels are now actually putting up a challenge that aren't one of camellia's songs is amazing
I'm glad the charting for songs has gotten a lot better, like compare the charting for this to OST 1, it's like night and day. not saying OST 1 is bad but this is a lot better imo
nah OST 1 is trash. but that would make sense because the game just came out and there was probably a lot to understand on how to map and the whole general feel to the level.
@@okboomerbutitsacat8050 I would tend to disagree because Ghost is faster and longer (with a lot more intense slashing) but Final Boss-Chan is still up there as one of the harder songs.
The final boss song is ov sacrament and sincest. Not counting custom songs I think ghost is the hardest only due to the annoying mapping and length. Spin eternally and final boss chan have an apporach rate that is too low for the note density.
When I saw that they added a new camellia song named Final Boss, oh boy I said goodbye to my arms Ok I managed to score 3rd in the world leaderboard, but on easy mode xD (about 150th in expert+ for the curious)
@@FoxNoitre10 I did the same thing but made it like 30 seconds before completely failing. I am now able to get at least 40 seconds in. I just practice that one song a lot now. (Even if the update just cane out today)

As long as you’re not a psvr player, I’d be down to show you how to mod your game so you can play as many new maps as you want. I have over 2.8k songs installed atm and I’ve got friends with over 6k. My song folder is over 22GB 💀. But yeah, just reply to this comment if you want that, I guess This offer extends to anyone else interested aswell
Yeah, it actually got me thinking that they could make a practice version of the levels where there are sliders in between the notes that you specifically have trouble with (you could select these challenge areas yourself or they could code it to be automatic depending on which areas you miss notes the most) it could really help with a lot of levels that have trickier note patterns and could be nice for more casual players who would rather memorize the pattern of the level because it’s above their skill level and they don’t want to try and put dozens of hours into learning patterns they can’t figure out.
@@aimingcontentlol4621 supposedly, but even with some really difficult levels it can be hard to figure out the optimal pattern or movement for your sabers
I was expecting the snake blocks to be used more, or at least be longer, like I was expecting stuff like how modded sliders are, where they last like 10 seconds
The sliders will be a welcome addition to the game. Old sliders were just completely un-accable and super frustrating. Trails on the other hand, I’d bet money that they will be relegated to be just another gimmick that never really took off, just like 360 degree mode. As a pretty adept player, the trails were really distracting and made me miss and under swing a lot more than I usually do. They’re a cool idea, but ultimately pretty annoying for competitive play. Also guarantee that once mods come up to date, on day one, there’s going to be a mod to disable trails lol

before the update I was playing mostly custom songs, so I assumed that I would be disappointed. but boi was I wrong, the flow is so sick and the new features just add to it.
@@pito7722 same with the Curtains part, it's an absolutely amazing song, contender for best song in the entire OST of Beat Saber, simply exquisite. Though personally I'm not a fan of Magic and I haven!t even tried Final Boss Chan yet because it looks like a nightmare. Firestarter is my 2nd favourite in OST5.
Who ever at beat games studio suggested this update and the ideas of adding actual sliders idk who you are but thank you and pls don't stop doing what your doing. And to who ever at beat games studio who suggested the music choice for this OST yet again thank you and keep doing what your doing and if both ideas belong to one person at best games studio then not only thank you but you deserve a raise
I could immediately tell by Toast panting that Final-Boss-Chan was going to be hard, and holy shit, that level looks like it could easily steal GHOST's crown as being the hardest level in the game!

Yeeeeeesssss!!! Hopefully it'll be well mapped. Cause tbh most knife party tracks I've come across are spastic flail fests without much cohesion. Though I haven't played many custom songs lately, Quest modding is kind of a pain.
Just finished the full soundtrack, holy crap these songs are bangers and are such a blast to play, definitely made me sweat, can't wait to see what they do next (Camellia's song screwed with me, and so did a couple of the other ones) 😅
It's cool to see the the improvement of the mapping. The first OSTs had lots of double-downs and bad mapping, and now the newer maps have insanely good mapping. The newer ones are also kind of techy.
@@theid10twastaken ah sorry for the missunderstanding, all of the new additions are realy nice and fun to play with. Suprisingly they seem realy well ballenced, I was expecting the sliders and arks to not realy fit in with the rest of the game but they actualy work realy well
ngl, final boss-chan was very good and the new mechanics is awesome and the charting is getting way better, but i feel like the finale song wasnt as good as the one in ost 4, I just feel like spin eternally had a better beat drop but still, awesome new ost pack!
I have played about half of the new songs, so I’m not gonna stick around long, I saw there was a living tombostone song on there so I can’t wait play that

Sweet Jesus. I was proud of myself for full combo-ing Final Boss Chan on normal difficulty, I can’t even imagine the amount of skill it must take to nail it on Ex+. Serious props to LS
@@ecksdee9768 you don’t just start as a good player there’s always a learning curve no matter who you are just like how every one starts life at the age of 0 years old and you can’t just start at like 10.
Easly my favorite ost i mean cmon they added a living tombstone that guy is a legend and when i saw tanger i flipped out now dont get me started on mapping it’s AMAZING
