As a Packer fan, I'm not shocked at all. He was really good paired with Aaron Jones and that's why the Packers couldn't resign him. They can't afford two starting-caliber RBs off their rookie contracts.

Who predicted that Geno Smith would throw 30 touchdowns, make the probowl roster, and broke the Seahawks single season passing yards record this year while leading the Seahawks back to the playoffs? Geno was supposed to be a career back up and maybe he was supposed to be out of the NFL but instead he proved to be a quality quarterback.

I’m a colts fan and I think Zaire Franklin was Indy’s best breakout player this season. Rodney Thomas was a beast as well but Franklin had 167 combined tackles (franchise record), 2 ff, and 3 sacks. Franklin did a great job filling in for Leonard’s absence and I can’t wait to see both LBs out on the field together in 2023

What round was he? Be weary of high tackle counts for players on bad teams it's a good metric but it can just mean ur average with good hustle. I like metrics pertaining to disruption. Like the aforementioned FF or the hurrys QB hits sacks pass breakups blocked kicks ints tackles for a loss oh and special teams performance overall

As a panthers fan I really enjoyed how well Burns played this year but I personally would give our breakout player of the year to Frankie Luvu he always made plays even when Burns was nowhere to be found

I'm a 49ers fan but I follow the Panthers closely do to a close friend being a panther fan and I have to agree, Frankie Luvu should've been the breakout player in this video. Besides, it's hard to say Brian Burns broke out this year, as if he wasn't already a monster on that dline before this season

Gotta say Josh Jacobs for the Raiders. Went from 3.9ypc and 900 yards in 2021 to 5ypc and a league leading 1650 yards this year

Yeah, I have to agree. He went from a decent RB that gets hurt often to a monster that lead the league in a lot of RB stats. He's one of the few players that didn't regress under McDaniels. He'd probably have even more on those stats if McDaniels actually realized what he had and USED him more in the first few games.

As of the Ravens, we all knew Tyler Linderbeaum was gon’ be a beast, I mean he was the best center prospect of the last 15 years at least. I’d say their biggest breakout player was Isaiah Likely. Dude was a late round pick and honestly nobody thought he’d be that good

As a Saints fan I would have said Alonte Taylor. Considering we were missing Lattimore for a decent amount of time and Adebo had a sophomore slump, we would have easily finished last in the division if Taylor wasn't there to lock down the opposing #1 receiver.

Honorable mention for the Cowboys: Daron Bland. Coming into the season the former 5th rounder has 5 interceptions most Coming as a nickel corner. Just my opinion. I would even say Tyler Smith too.

Honestly for the dolphins I would probably take Jaylen Phillips over Tua in this. Tua got injured and he got worse as the season went on. But Jaylen only got better and earned a full starter spot and is now one of the crucial part of our lineman/OLB group

Frankie Luvu for the panthers. Burns has been a known stud for a little while now, whereas Luvu really came into his own this season and had a great year, major piece on the defence. Another good candidate was D'onta Foreman, who only started the latter half of the season and still had almost 1,000 rushing yards and pretty consistant play. Had a few monster preformances to boot as well.

Andrew Thomas' breakout season was last year. Nobody paid attention because the rest of the offense was historically horrendous. This year the Giants' breakout player is All-Pro Dexter Lawrence - the best nose tackle in football by a mile and a top five defensive player in the league this year.

You could have easily picked either CB/return specialist Marcus Jones or RB Rhamondre Stevenson for the Patriots. Jones had a hat trick in TDs (defensive, offensive and punt return) in addition to being an electric return specialist and Stevenson ran for over 1000 yards on a lackluster Pats offense despite being unable to run behind or outside the tackles because of how horrible the Patriots tackles were.
