I was just getting ready to post something similar. He made KC much better, including one of the best games I remember going against John Elway and Denver in a back and forth game. I think we made it to the AFC finals, which is better then all but 3 other teams so we'll take that every time.

Interesting. I'm an Eagles fan but I would think either the years of Trent Green or Alex Smith were better than the two years of Montana. Could be wrong. I just think those 3 guys are underrated

Trent Green had Priest Holmes and an amazing offensive line. Alex Smith had plenty of offensive weapons. Montana had an aging Marcus Allen and went to the AFC Championship Game. Neither Green nor Smith won a playoff game.

The Redskins gave up a 1st round pick for TJ Duckett and to me that was much worse than what they traded for RGIII who played great up until his injury. The Trade was not bad the injury was.

@Christopher Bingham its not meaningless for the new coaches who want to see how their offence or defense will be before the regular season. And not for the rookies and practice squad people who fight for a spot and can be impact players. A team could have a pro bowler on practice squad and not know it unless they have preseason to show it.
