The fact that the guitar solo was improvised on the spot by Steve Vai makes it the most iconic peace of art in all of Halos Soundtracks

Each individual theme was like a scattered piece of an ancient legendary artifact; when all of them are reunited, it creates a masterpiece that gives the very gods chills.

Halo 1: Primitive and awesome drums with a solid heavy orchestra Halo 2: Legendary guitar riffs and epicness Halo 3: Dramatic emotional and enchanting piano and backing strings Equals the best music that we will probably ever see come from a video game or any other media in our lifetime.

I liked how the Halo 2's guitar stayed for the most part as the lead tone and then it perfectly faded for Halo 3's One Last Effort piano notes. You just made me revive the experience of playing Halo since 2009

My mouth dropped open from how absolutely beautiful the overlapped choirs from each theme sounded at the beginning of this. It felt COMPLETE, like all along each was a piece waiting to snap together. Ridiculously ingenious idea ❤

I love how the electric guitar seems to anchor the whole peice. Holding everything together, then goes full send into the solo. Then the final piano just sends chills down your spine after the unbridled _hype_ up to that point. It perfect encapsulates the OG halo games.

This feels like a definitive arrangement it mixes the themes so well. Like if I needed to have someone listen to one piece to get them to understand what the Bungie-era Halos sounded like, it would be this

I love how each Halo theme hits differently. Halo CE gives off the feeling of walking into the unknown. Halo 2 Gives you the adrenaline of fighting at your best. Halo 3 Gives the feeling that you're tired and exhausted from all the fighting, but you know if you give one final push, then victory will be yours. At least that's what I get from each one. Halo will always have a special place in my heart. Always remember those who you started the fight with and those who made it with you all the way to the end.

Honestly, the moment this piece of art truly clicked for me was the 0:54 mark. That one single piano note sent shivers down to the very core my being. Its almost like these were designed to be synced in this way. For a small moment, you brought me back to my childhood. Thank you, truly.

I came into this expecting an incoherent jumble of music, because I thought this was a meme. I came out with goosebumps.

i turned off my monitors, turned off my lights, and listened to this whole thing through with my eyes closed. i started crying at the end. I know the days we all loved have passed, but this allows us to remember them for how they were, and how we spent them. It was the perfect way to escape reality...

I love love LOVE how the mixing of the orchestra and the guitar was, letting it join the orchestra and then having the limelight on lead parts was AWESOME. A massive cacophony of the gamer's national anthem, absolutely WONDERFUL.

Whats crazy is that I've listened to this many times now, and when I listen to it a few days later, I still get goosebumps. I was born into the end of the glory days, but my family made sure I experienced as much of it as possible. The music is a part of that. I still play the bungie games every once in a while just to listen to the music as I play. Those give me goosebumps every once in a while, but this takes it to a whole new level. If 343 or some other company ever makes a quality halo game, they need to get marty and tell him to make something like this.

Beautiful how they weave in and out, complimenting each other while remaining distinctly their own. Hard to pick up the CE theme between 2 and 3, but it remains subtly there.

No composition gets me as emotional as “One Final Effort” except for Chopin’s “Prelude Op. 28 No. 15” used in the “Believe” trailer for Halo 3. I can just feel the passion and detail that went into those first 3 masterpieces more through the music than the gameplay usually. That theme really continues in this arrangement as well. Very well done.

What I love about Halo's soundtrack is that Halo 1 is mysterious, Halo 2 is Action and Halo 3 is a dramatic conclusion and that is 111% expressed throughout all three OST's. The Halo Trilogy's perfection is one that we won't see again.

I think most of us remember the first time we heard the iconic Halo theme and it still hits hard to this very day. Spartans never die. Never forget.

I think even if you hate the Halo series in general, you can't deny that the soundtrack is one of the best from the gaming world, if not in all music and soundtracks. Even all of them combined they still sound amazing, now that's art. not to mention if it wasn't for the drums and guitar, this could be a classical piece. Amazing job good sir. and I agree with another comment, definitely put this on Spotify and others. You put your time and effort into this, I'd say you could.

The solo guitar fitting in so neatly into the role is amazing. It works great with the drums giving the rock/metal energy, synergizes with the strings and contrasts the piano well

Turning 25 and this music hit me like a freight train. I remember staying up all night playing Halo 3 ODST Firefight just hours before Halo:Reach launched with my best buddies back then. We were so many waves in on mythic that we ultimately missed the launch of Reach. Man, were those the times. Growing up on Halo CE and Halo 2.

i lost my brother last year on the 29th of november. he was 30. halo was the biggest part of his life. he played it since the beginning. i remember playing halo 3 with him, our other brother, and their 2 friends on weekends in late 00s. i wasnt very old then, barely 4 probably, and it was the best times of my life. listening to this now feels like im at the end of a long campaign honoring a spartan mia. im 18 now. its gonna be hard to get through life without him. he was a great man. love you and miss you always Trevor 💞💜💞 -your sister, meg

Just layed here in bed with my eyes closed reliving the entire og trilogy back in the early 2000s when was a wee lad. Was born in 01 and lived like a 90s kid. I remember when everything was new, the first xbox releasing, Halo CE with it. The nights staying up with my older brother playing through this campaign destroying the covenant... Getting destroyed. I was too young to remember vividly, but i remember fighting aliens through big grassy canyons, fighting through space stations, having Cortana guiding us through war, an epic siege across a bridge, hijacking a scarab... How could i forget the first encounter with the flood.... The great Library dying a million times through waves or flood, playing as the Arbiter, taking on the guilty spark, destroying The prophets across lakes, and ofc still getting mauled to death by the flood trying to kill the last prophet.. meeting gravemind.. and so much more. This was the birth of a new generation we witnessed. Lan parties, online gaming were all just beginning. Everything was just ao exciting, technology was moving so fast. It was a passionate time for gaming and developers alike. When companies' all took pride in their work and loved sharing it to the world. What a time to be alive, oh yes it was

How the hell is this not a mainstream theme by now? This right here as a masterpiece! And to me is everything I look for in music…. And to top it off it’s all just a bunch of songs that I love mashed together into one amazing work of art!! Halo is my childhood, and it’s been so long since I’ve seen a new Halo masterpiece.
