Fun fact, elites often saw humans as equal warriors to themselves. Some even wanted them to join the covenant, and didn't know why the covenant wanted us gone. If ELITES saw humans as equals, considering sangheili puts warriors high in their culture, then that really says something lol. A lot of elites genuinely respected humanity
Something I love about Halo is how unapologetically pro human it is. Other sci fi universe try to make you symphatize with the aliens but Halo makes you proud to be part of the homo sapien species
Im a bit of a lore junkie, so I like to connect these songs with the feelings of Humanity at that time of the Halo Universe. Outnumbered, outgunned, outclassed etc, but still just unleashing absolutel carnage on the Covenant. Tip of the Spear: Ginormous human offensive, showing the Covenant that man too can destroy. Bloe Me Away: The willingness of Humanity to fight fight fight. Genesong: Extraordinary human stubbornness to not die.
@@geraldhuff7413 true but it's also called "Genesong" a term for the genetic engineering the forerunners placed onto humanity so that we could inherit their technology. And the index we are trying to reach as the Arbiter, can be activated only by humans.
I don't remember if I read this in the original Halo 1 Game manual or in one of the earlier Halo Books, but it was stated that humanity won most ground battles against the Covenant, but that these costly victories were made insignificant when the Covenant blasted the Navy to shreds and began glassing the planets one by one. I like to think this art here gives us a good showing as to why UNSC ground troops were so damn effective despite the insane gap in technology and manpower.
Humanity was typically victorious on ground battles. Ratio of about 8:2 in humanities favor. Though half those victories either involved Spartans or large ODST deployments. Covenant usually won when they drastically outnumbered Humanity or Humanity had to put too much focus on evacuating civilians; sadly putting them on a restricted back foot instead of on the offensive which the UNSC excelled at. Space......yeah we got Butt F****d hard almost every battle, even if we technically won.
Fancy technology has nothing on a reliable gun and a handful of bullets. The bolt-action Mauser Chileno 1895 7x57mm rifle is still used by some nations - at least ceremonially, and the M1 Garand is used both ceremonially and actively in several militaries today. Simply put, "a bullet's a bullet".
Covenant on all sides, gunfire from every conceivable direction, UNSC soldiers unwilling to die without fighting, only thing keeping them alive being sheer will power and the gun in their hands. These soldiers are doing what they believe is right and fighting for those they love, for the world they came from, for humanity. “If god is love then you can call me cupid”. SGT. Johnson
Whatever this thing is it’s got these Squidfaces so hot and bothered they want to get their grubby hands all over it, now I don’t care if it’s God’s anti-SOB machine or a god damn hula hoop, WE WON’T LET THEM HAVE IT!! WHAT WE WILL LET THEM HAVE IS A BELLY FULL OF LEAD AND A POOL OF THEIR OWN ENTRAILS TO DROWN IN!! *zoom in AM I RIGHT MARINES!!
They haven't re-written anything though... Bungie were the ones who completely changed the lore with Halo Reach and essentially retconned The Fall of Reach - which is one of the most important stories in Halo and the Master Chief. If anything, 343 dedicated Halo 4 to re-exploring the original story that Bungie retconned.
@@R0ZEN7 Putting aside how delusional it is to believe those several things are 'eVeRyThInG', this video is further silly how it constantly preaches about 343 retconns when Bungie itself was retconning itself constanly. It's 'evidence' of Bungie vision are ludicrous given whatever plans it might had originally were plain and simply never used in Halo 2 and dropped afterwards. Dude time and time again uses never done cutscene as proof of his argument. With such irrational logic portal in Voi is an Ark cause it was Bungie oRiGiNaL vIsIoN. Add to it cringeworthy avatar he uses and it simply becomes unbearing to watch.
@@R0ZEN7 Don't have time to listen for over an hour a guy with cringeworthy avatar about his self-righteous argument when some fundamental aspects of it are simply silly. And that ignoring elephant in the room, you clearly don't know the meaning of 'everything'. Fact you send me to such long ass video instead of presenting argument yourself is already red flag.
I’ll always associate it with Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz due to a badass AMV that used it. Unfortunately, that video has been taken down. I can’t find it and I was young enough at the time that I didn’t bother to write down the channel.
ODSTs are pretty dope ngl. I bet they'd listen to this as they casually rip apart entire groups of covenant. Romeo: "Buck you haven't said a word this entire battle. You okay man"? Dutch: "Yeah man, even I'm worried for you". Buck: "I'm listening to a cool song from 500 years ago. Gimme a break guys". *Buck then proceeds to casually gun down a brute*
"The Covenant have found Earth they own New Mombasa. Anyone who could have driven them off is dead or gone. I'd say these are desperate times and me and me team guess we're the desperate measures."
The UNSC could actually go toe to toe with the Covenant on the ground, Harvest being a prime example, they just couldn't gain air and space superiority.
This makes me cry. I miss the days when me and my brothers got hyped when our favorite halo tracks came on while we grew up with the games. As halo dies as a franchise, I die. I'm happy and angry that I lived through it, I'll never experience anything like that again and I hate it, but I'm glad I did, I was lucky to have that. Stay safe people.
Bro, I was listening to this during the Institute vs raider gangs battle for Nuka World. And right as I killed the first enemy raid leader, Blow me away started blasting. Transition was sick as fuck.
When the fuck does the Institute show up in that DLC? Last I checked the only fights are in the power plant mission and if you decide to kill all of the raiders.
If you're talking about the back left ODST,I think that's the SMG actually. But the magnum pistols are pretty large in the game as well so either way you're right.
POV, You and your tag team duo bro are playing ODST firefight on heroic, both flood and covenant units incoming, it's the final wave of set 4, and there's no lives left.
@@voomvoom4522 DOOM doesn't have any of the multiplayer breadth Halo has, and that's not even including Forge and Custom Games. Not to mention Halo's story and lore, and the variety in the top notch music too? Halo sweeps. Even if you might prefer DOOM gameplay there's no competition
@@Dave_Chrome Multi-player?! Who gives a damn about multi-player? If a game has to use multi-player as a crutch to have fun then its not a good game. Plus multi-player counts for nothing once the servers are shut down, or you don't have anyone to play with. Forge? A bloody MAP EDITOR? Oh, that's adorable. The custom maps that were made for the old Dooms blows Halos out of the water and into orbit. Music? 3, maybe 4 good songs across the entire franchise, with the rest being either barely able to be considered music, or just remixes of the main theme. Story? Clichéd, convoluted, and full of plot holes, with characters that are nothing more then one dimensional military stereotypes.
if... if that transition to "Blow Me Away" started when you were pushing up to the spire on Tip of the Spear... bro I would have lost my collective shit!! even though we only had BB in Halo 2, I would have done anything to have them collab with Bungie for 3, ODST and Reach.
It was the coolest shit, I've been ripping and tearing through Spartan ops missions, as I do, because I love spartan ops and feel that it gets a bad rap, anyway, I was really going ham, bobbing and weaving, slaughtering like nobody's business, kicking ass and taking names, fighting the way spartans fight in cutscenes and lore, and right at 4:15 with that explosive drop, a phantom exploded right in front of me, it was awesome, god Crimson kicks ass!
I was too young to appreciate Halo or even play it yet during the Halo 2/Halo 3 era but man I almost wish I was born earlier to have experienced it. I'm doing my second playthrough of all the games again in MCC and I just realized how much I like Halo, I'm even reading the books now.
I’m convinced by knowledge of history that any aliens like the covenant we meet in the future will recognize humans as peerless warriors capable of feats surpassing what our physiology is reasonably allowed
I remember exactly when this song played in Halo 2 I believe, I was like alright lets wait. song played and I was like yea screw that lets goooooooooo!!!!!!!
I didn’t play the first halo wars, but I sure I did play Halo CE on PC, in 2001 Halo 2 for Windows Vista… Then I got the Xbox One with all the collection… Halo 5 Halo Wars 2 and Halo Infinite.
Listen to this with your eyes closed, and tell me you don't see an assortment of pelicans, warthogs, tanks and mongooses driving head first towards a large covenant base as they start pouring out an arsenal of their own.
The transition in this is fine, don't see or hear a problem... Also, if this song gets removed or gets deleted... You better slipspace to another universe or planet before I arrive with a Spartan laser... And maybe a "Friend"... (Love the soundtrack! 🎮❤️)
Man if only the UNSC had better ships to counter them... yeah fck this I'm making a fanfic and will bring the glory of the emperor to these isolated humans
