Apparently Great Balls of Fire was originally supposed to be the revived Bad Blood ppv but they decided to ditch it in favor Great Balls of Fire. Also Evolution should really be a mainstay that happens once every few years especially with how stacked the Womens Division is now. I also loved Breaking Point as kid especially mostly cause it had one of the better Cena vs Orton matches
The only thing i remember from Breaking Point is the next night on RAW when Cena replayed the moment Orton quit over and over again....Oh and that PPV also had a great theme song.
The odd thing about the Wrestling Classic was the turnbuckles had no padding. No explanation why. They just didn't have any. The car giveaway was a huge waste of time. The audience hated it. And to top it off the winner wasn't even there! 😂 On the plus side Randy Savage did wrestle 4 times which meant 4 different dresses for Elizabeth! 😍

Honestly the concept of Breaking Point was neat is just WWE didn't make use of is full potential of a submission only show. (And not too mention them shamelessly redoing the Montreal Screwjob in the World title match really grinds my gears.) But Orton vs Cena at this show was great.
Yeah, WWE could easily bring Breaking Point back, and with Triple H focusing on giving most PPVs/PLEs only around 5 or 6 matches you could fill it out nicely with the gimmick. Two submission matches, an I Quit match, a Last Man Standing match, and maybe even an elimination match or two (to at least marginally maintain the theme).
WWE not having Evolution as an annual womens ppv (it's like a class reunion tbh) every year or 2 is crazy, since they have SO many dream matches sat there but no time to do them. The roster is STACKED and ready to go. Stipulations have been time proven with some of the women too. Give us a HIAC main event with Iyo jumping off the top ffs
Clash at the Castle was special and shows why we are the best fans in the world! MITB was amazing too and I'm honoured to have gone to both. We definitely deserve a Mania.

Funny that I actually was at 2 of these shows. Same venue too. Evolution and Fatal 4 Way were both in the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island. Had fun at both even if Fatal 4 Way was kinda dumb and lackluster.
They never actually claimed Sheamus and Drew to be from Wales though. Just in the general area. Had they wanted to, they could've used Sub Culture for a one off
I will say that Fatal Four Way could be a fun concept for a show in a Japanese promotion like NJPW or NOAH, where multi-man matches like that are relatively quite rare. Certainly compared to any major American promotion, where they're just a staple of weekly programming anyways. Funny to think about.
On the previous video, I wasn't sure if Adam was just mispronouncing things on purpose or if they just trained an AI using his voice. The glitch at 5:09 is starting to make me think its the later.
Only just returned to wrestling for the first time since 2018. Clash at the Castle is probably one of the best WWE shows i've ever seen. I wish I'd seen it at the time.
I’m gonna guess that the top entry is either Evolution or Clash at the Castle. DX vs Legacy at Breaking Point is a pretty underrated match with a unique twist on a old gimmick.
Good old 2010, where Vince decided to sack off the ppvs that had been going on years and were absolutely fine, and replace them with gimmick matches which sort of ruined what made those matches special. And then they ran out of gimmick matches so they scraped the barrels for a night of fatal four ways. Jesus Christ what was wrong with judgement day or armageddon?

One is saying "I Quit", the other is tapping out. It's two perfectly different things. You can scream all you want in a submission, but it doesn't end til you tap. You can tap all you want in an I Quit match and nothing will be done until you verbally say you quit. So yeah, there is logic.
@@RetroActivityGaming Actually, crying out that you quit is a perfectly acceptable method of submitting, it's just fallen out of favour because the deliberate motion of tapping out translates better to an audience. There's nothing specifically forbidding anyone submitting be saying 'I quit!".

Also how was there NOT an Iron Man or Last Man Standing match here? I think Breaking Point should be brought back with the matches being submission, I Quit, Iron Man and Last Man Standing. Honestly, they should just replace Extreme Rules with Breaking Point since Extreme Rules isn’t very extreme either
@@BoogalooBartholomew TBF they kind of continued Breaking Point with the more creatively named “Over the Limit.” I’ll always remember when Cena was going to AA Batista off the car on the stage before he quit, and did it anyway. Batista actually got legit injured, but was used as a way to write him off WWE since he was going to leave WWE at that time
WWE could easily bring back Breaking Point, they could just have it as a non gimmick match event aswell because it's a good/solid name for a PPV/PLE in general.
I have the Fatal Four way DVD, and on the cover, ALL THE TITLE WINNER ARE SHOWN ON THE COVER! With the title! they spoiled the winners on the cover of the DVD lol.

Invasion is probably one of the worst PPV’s of the early 2000s. It was a great idea but lacked a lot of star power such as flair, Nash, hogan, hall and sting. The biggest names of wcw
It just shows how much of a dictatorship Vince was running that no one vetoed the decision to call a PPV "Great Balls of Fire". Yes, it's a funny name, but i'm terrified about what it says about that company.
I may be in the minority but I liked Capital Punishment. The CM Punk-Mysterio and Orton-Christian bouts were both fantastic and Ziggler-Kingston was a decent enough opener. A stronger main event and it would have been an outstanding show.

I went to Rock Bottom in Vancouver and re-watched it recently. It gets way too much hate. It's actually a decent show and knowing that Austin broke 3 ribs mid match is even more impressive
Dude put some respect on the dx vs legacy match was freaking good with awesome storytelling and putting legacy over. Who cares they werent dean malenko or benoit; 3/4 of them had submision holds as signature moves anyway
