Very misleading ... you fell into the IMDB Trap. Years listed are the years the awards were announced {OSCAR telecast] and not the year the music won for.
All films with (*) means years where the category was split between Best Original Score and Best Adapted Score AND from 1996 to 2000 Original Dramatic Score and Original Musical or Comedy Score
You did a great work but it's a pity that sometimes you chose songs instead the score and there several clips with trailer music (dances with wolves, english patient, life of pi, dune...) and some where the music were not composed by the winners (full monty, soul).
Someone needed to balance the sounds for each entry. This is virtually unlistenable. Each clip is too short to even fully hear the score, and I believe no less than 4, maybe 5 of the clips don't play a moment with music. Also, many of the clips (especially Disney clips are more best song appropriate than score centric).
DEPLORABLE THERE WERE ONLY THE OSCAR AWARDS FOR THE BEST MUSIC ORIGINAL SCORE CATEGORY, AS OF 1934. IF IT EXISTED BEFORE, MY NOMINATIONS AND WINNERS WOULD BE: 1927/28: - Metropolis - Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans - The Circus - Wings Winner: Metropolis 1928/29: - The Passion of Joan of Arc - The Docks of New York - October (Ten Days that Shook the World) - Napoleon - The Wind Winner: The Passion of Joan of Arc 1929/30: - City Girl - Pandora's Box Winner: City Girl 1930/31: - City Lights - Frankenstein - The Blue Angel - Tabu: A Story of the South Seas - Morocco Winner: City Lights 1931/32: - Scarface - Grand Hotel - Shanghai Express Winner: Scarface 1932/33: - King Kong - Trouble in Paradise - Queen Christina Winner: King Kong
