He looks alright. He will most likely spend the majority of his career in the shadow of Mitch Trubisky though because his fundamentals and footwork are way off. Too much of a project QB. I'd stick with Alex Smith for about 3 or 4 more years if the Chiefs want to care about winning now.

Dark AssasinXZ it sucked to not see Mahomes not get a TD but for his first game ever he did a good job. Can’t knock him for that, plus Smith has been here 5 seasons and is barely playing at an elite level. I like smith a lot but his time is up in KC unless we get to a SB imo

Patrick Mahomes did a good job. Remember he is playing against one of the top defenses with backup receivers. So considering all of that he did well. Can’t wait to see him play with starters when ever that is

You can afford the little mistakes and miscues because at the end of the day he makes plays. Yea his accuracy isn't the best and he might throw a couple picks but he makes winning plays

Aj Briano Yeah. I saw alot of improvement in his footwork. His pocket presence has developed nicely since the Preseason. He can always play in cold weather without it being an issue and he can absorb punishment but he his footwork still needs improvement. He also keeps trying to make those big downfield play's in double coverage but he is a gunslinger and you don't tell those QBs not too sling it. He is getting there

I was gonna say, I don't like him with this Chiefs offense cause it's more of a game manager offense. Maybe Andy Reid can adjust it more for Mahomes' play style once Smith is gone. But he is going to be an absolute gunslinger just like Favre was. And like Favre he can run. And like Favre, Andy Reid's his coach.

andy reid tailored his system for AS11. I garuntee it will look more like his offense with McNabb or when he was OC for Favre in green bay once Mahomes has the job. the current version of his offense is scaled back.

Strychnos Favre, much like Trent Green where really good at scrambling. Scrambling means extending the play with your feet. Most people these days confuse scrambling with rushing.
