92%ers we are back with another episode of New Heights presented by our friends at Fireball.
In this episode, we are joined by maybe our most requested guest. It’s the two-time Super Bowl Champion head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs Andy Reid!
Coach Reid talks with the guys about his real first impression of Travis, what advice led him to become an NFL head coach, the biggest takeaway from his time in Philly, and if Travis will ever get another shot at QB.
We also dive into how he coaches Patrick Mahomes, how he felt coaching against his former team in the Super Bowl, how NFL offenses have changed since he started coaching, and most importantly, his go-to fast food burger.
As always, watch and listen to new episodes of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce every Wednesday & check us out on Instagram, Twitter, and Tik Tok for all the best moments from the show.

Big Red is the best! I worked at a Chiefs game once and Andy stopped after the game walking to the locker room to talk to a stadium employee who was collecting trash. Andy knew this guy by name, asked how his wife was doing(apparently she had been sick) and said if he needed anything to let him know. I was stunned by this whole interaction, that's the stuff you don't hear about. Such a stand up guy and amazing person!

Dropping F bombs shows you have a limited vocabulary. Not too intelligent. My grandson was taught this in middle school by his coaches. He's finished up his high school football season and still lives by this lesson. I'm proud of him. I saw him far away, correct someone. He was being scouted by some good colleges until he tore his ACL and MCL. Wasn't sure he'd make it thru his senior year, but with continued therapy and a bariatric chamber, he made it and played like he was playing football in the backyard.

Truth be told, there is no "one" play. He's going to go with the play that he's tested the defense with knowing how they are going to react. Look up "How the Chiefs embarrassed the Eagles with one play." here on RU-vid. He knew how the defense would react - and that's going to make him decide what to call on that 4th and 1. That's why corn dog worked. It will be interesting to see what Reid dials up this coming season.

Love catching up on these older episodes. I’m a Texas girl so football has been a constant in my life from a young age but I’ve learned so much and gained a new appreciation for the sport and the players since discovering New Heights. And yes, I discovered the podcast/youtube channel because of the Taylor/Travis frenzy, but I’m binging episodes because of the charisma, knowledge, and sincerity of the Kelce brothers.

Aw that was absolutely adorable watching Travis just swell with absolute pride when Coach Reid said that he was his first choice. Also, it was so funny watching him be so well behaved this whole episode. I also really enjoyed Coach Reid just relax and chat with them like they are family. I didn't expect him to be so laid back and open to really talk about everything. Last, poor Jason. He was very mature about it but you could see he felt bad. You can literally see that it hit him harder and harder everytime the loss is mentioned.

Andy really seems like a genuine good person. This is why he’s been so successful because he’s real. He levels with his players and let’s them be them. You can tell players love playing for him. You can see the difference between players playing for Andy vs playing for bill bellichick. All the chiefs players are ready to run through a wall and go to battle for Andy because he returns the same energy for them

I think what Makes Reid the best is his mind is agile enough that he can create an offense based around the players he has instead of trying to force his players into his pre-set offense like so many others try.
@persiangulfwarvet

@Dale Hammers I have to agree 💯 His offensive flexibility is one of his greatest strengths. Look at teams offensive calls with Alex Smith which is the season before Mahomes played and you'll see that Alex had his best season and then when Pat came he changed the play calls to fit Pat's skillset & strengths! So yeah, you are 💯 correct sir!

As a fan of the chiefs, Andy Reid is my favorite coach in the league, his play calling is inspired, there's no bs, and he matches the needs of the game moment to moment. He doesn't waver if the game takes him off of his game-plan, he adapts and puts his players on track towards success. He's also really nice and good to his players. Certain other coaches take the fun out of the game. Reid to me is the best coach all around. Everything you need a coach to do, he's excellent at it. I would love to have his autograph someday.

Man, I love this show! These guys are a riot, and I have nothing but respect and love for Andy Reid, I watched him coach my Eagles for 14 years, AAAANNNDDD brought us one of the greatest Eagles to ever wear the uniform, Mr. Jason Kelce himself, then watched him turn K.C. into a powerhouse, he's an amazing hall of fame coach! I hated it when we lost the Super Bowl, but losing to coach Reid eased the sting a little bit. That game was nothing short of amazing, I said it was gonna come down to who had the final possession and it did, just sucks the Chiefs had the final possession and Mahomes did what Mahomes does, but my hats off to Jalen Hurts, cause like Mahomes himself said he played one hell of a game right down to the last second.

Been an Eagles fan since 2004. Absolutely love the team and will be an Eagles fan for life. I’m a proud Irishman and just love the Eagles but that love stemmed from Andy Reid- the man is a legend and I count myself blessed to see him coach. Philly and Kansas are proud football cities and I’ve been waiting to see this interview for so long. Kelce brothers with Big Red!! I could have listened to another 10hours of this! Awesome. Fly Eagles Fly Respect to the Chiefs. Losing the SB aches my heart but what other team could have withstood that Eagles offense? Hurts and the team played exceptionally well but came up against one of the all time great teams. It was a joy to watch the SB. Defeat was crushing but any other team and I think the Eagles win. Thank you Jason & Travis for sharing your passion and enthusiasm. Class podcast that just makes me laugh out loud but incredible insights too. Keep up the excellent work Go birds!!
