Something I really enjoyed about this video was that you jade it feel like an adventure of sorts. As we're traveling along the story and the emotion of the album, the visuals that you accompany both with the sample and the song, particularly at the end, Sonia felt like an album itself in a way, deconstructed almost. Great editing on this one, man.

An artistic masterpiece of an album that tells a story about the beauty and dangers of fame and love presented in amazing ways with extremely realistic musical elements with pianos and orchestral sounds, and amazing usage of sampling small elements of some know/unknown 1960’s, 1970’s & early 1980’s old school songs to make something completely original. Also extraordinary mature subject matter used very well lyrically throughout the album. Whether you like Kanye or not this thing is thing is a masterpiece that won’t be forgotten.

A lot of people think that Kanye directly sampled the song: ‘The Basement’ by Pete Rock (1992) which took the drums at (3:27) & chop them up and made a different pattern. But what people don’t really realize is that Kanye didn’t directly take the chopped up drums from that song. He actually took the original version: ‘Expo 83’ by the ‘Backyard Heavies’ (1971) and remade the chopped up version that Pete Rock made for ‘The Basement’ from scratch. You can tell because the drums on ‘Runaway’ (2010) are slightly faster and better quality than the Pete Rock version from (1992). That’s why Kanye credited this version.

i remember when i first listened this whole masterpiece, i got shocked it gave me goosebumps it made me cry in some songs it made me like woahhhhhhh damn! kanye surely is on another level.
