the fact that sausage didn’t win ink master but produced such good tattoos is astonishing i truly believed that sausage should have won bc scott jus didn’t show good sportsmanship and etc. they all knew sausage is a good competitor and an even better tattoo artist so that there proves that they feel threatened and they kno that sausage is already a ink master. in my eyes he was an ink master

I def think that this show is very scripted when it comes to the artists’ interactions with each other. I feel like that since they’re all living together, they don’t rlly have these big rivalries that the show makes them out to have. Yeah, they’re competing, but I guarantee this hatred of other artists is entirely scripted. I bet they’re all actually good friends

It's been said by some of the contestant that they're told to talk drama for the show. If they don't then they're not shown as much. The tattoos and clients are genuine (except the whole canvas Jury which they were also told what to say to make the show more appealing)

that medusa piece was really good it would've looked worse if the snakes were thinner but yeah it should've had the tongue for the top one if it has them on the others but I don't agree with the thin snakes.

If the snakes were thinner they (the judges) would probably say they were too small for snakes and looked like she had a head full of worms 🙄. We both know smaller snakes would've killed the balance of that image.

Yeah, Medusa's snakes are not thin, and most snakes aren't (compared to their overall size) so I don't understand that critique at all

In a negative space challenge, I feel like making the negative space thin makes it easier to get lost and misread in the rest of the tattoo. They were never going to let her win that challenge no matter what she did. I'm not one to cry sexism, but it's a known fact that the judges on Ink Master pull out bullshit critiques against women and anyone who's not dramatic enough to be good for the show's views.

I thought for the first challenge the medusa tattoo and the coffin tattoo were the best- both in their originality and artistically. Juan's cat was very cool, but I don't think it beat those other two

I think part of it is the composition, Juan's negative space was a single object cut out of its composition, while the medusa and coffin both played around with opening up the borders of the piece in a way that I think makes them more appealing

I love the tattoo with the big cat, the vines around the trees were so delicate and flowed so well in contrast to the strong image of the cat. Somme of these artists are soo talanted❤️

In the ink master show they show people how they struggle with addiction or medical issues to the point that one day they would never get to look back on but for Scott that brother you will be missed by everyone even the whole show and the cast and crew I am so sad from your passing you will be missed ink master is and forever a dedicated show to great tattoo artists in the world but Scott I will miss even for Dave Navarro I miss you Scott

@@rachelcookie321 I doubt that. Medusa has been a symbol of safety and protection for sexual assault victims for ages. Maybe a few people have medusa without knowing the meaning, but it's very well known at this point

A lot of the time, they seem to be wincing because of the amount of time they're given. I watched one where one guy said that he would do that particular type of tattoo in three different multi-hour sittings.

Jason’s Medusa tattoo was absolutely stunning. I loved the thickness of the snakes but kinda wanted the tongue on the top snake after the judge mentioned it. That could’ve played into the woman’s face really beautifully. But I really loved the piece overall

I have some flowers w negative space to look like smoke going through the flowers and I love it 2 years later it still look dope! Even if it didn’t I love the imperfections of tattoos that u can tell have aged well! But it does look cool so all the better!

@@gimygaming8655 Most of the artists are done before the 6 hrs are done most of the time. Especially true for like the palm tattoos and small-scale tattoos. It’s not uncommon for there to just be a single artist left working in the competition area at like 1-2 hours left. The judges are also only there for like 10 minutes. Watch Dave say how much time is left and see no one behind him, because it’s done at a different time.

Time limits are real, but most of the artists finish beforehand. On occasion, there are unfinished tattoos though

Not on a time limit where you’re squishing something that would go over 3 sessions into 6 hours… and even if you tattoo all the time, most people have a certain style. That being said, some styles or techniques are going to be out of their comfort zones. That doesn’t mean they can’t do it, but it means they aren’t used to it. Even if you do something all the time you can still have room for improvement.

Keep in mind the producers will be feeding them lines and editing in reactions out of context. Don't take it too seriously. Just focus on the artwork, it's the only authentic part.
