The reason Dr. Neo Cortex is a sorcerer is because they needed the battle classes of crash and neo cortex to match king pen and golden queen the reason is because they want you to pay more to use others battle classes.
God damn I never noticed that, what a scummy move. The franchise really should have ended at superchargers it had a really satisfying ending, and we could have looked back fondly with our nostalgia rather than our nostalgia being the reason we keep falling for every new “leak” in vein that this series will get another game and the closing act it deserved.
Also, who the hell thought one time, PHYSICAL loot boxes were a good idea!?! You use them ONE TIME then it’s just pointless plastic that you can’t reset through owning previous games and ALL it gives you are a few imaginator parts. Things you get regularly just from playing the game. What a waste man, what a waste.
@@transientlattice I hold the personal theory that Crash and Cortex were originally designed as a Bazooker and a Quickshot respectively. Take a look at the classes they are in. There are four Brawlers and four Sorcerers. Every other class has three, except the ones I have mentioned above where there are a pitiful two. Coincidentally, Cortex would be perfect for the Quickshot class with his blasters, and Crash himself has a personal bazooka that is one of his most powerful weapons. Cortex and arguably to an extent Crash don’t fit their classes, but with a little tweaking to their existing movesets (getting rid of Cortex’s staff moves and giving Crash more use for his bazooka) and all of a sudden it clicks together. They were then changed at some point at development to match Penn and Queen, like the original comment mentioned.
The original 32 were great from spyro to gill grunt to trigger happy to eruptor to stump smash to terrafin to slambam and stealth elf these were the best skylanders back in the day
Close, but not quite. The pit is an organ many venomous snakes related to the pit viper have. It is basicly a sooper heat sensitive dent near the nostral that helps them sense prey.
Man I always loved tai kwon crow, seeing him making it to top three really warmed my heart, that guy is so cool and funny with how serious he tries to be, then slips up and attempts his best to recover
Tidepool is the best sensei without a doubt! I’m proofing this right now by making a nightmare mode playthrough only with her on my channel. She is my third favourite skylanders and I love her to death!

The reason his name is pit boss is because it's a play on a pit boss which is a person who works at a casino and is in charge of a table. His name though is meant to be like a viper or snake pit. And sense he controls snakes the boss part is there
Hood sickle you need to get his top path upgrade, spam teleport and then let loose with ur basic combo. It literally destroys all enemies with his combo
Hood Sickle’s my favorite. From his catchphrases to his move set. Yes, he’s slow, but if you choose his Dark Remnants path, that’s no longer a problem.

My Rankings: No Opinion Yet: -Chain Reaction -Hood Sickle Simply put, I don't have them. They're the last two Senseis I'm still missing. If you know where I could find them at a decent price in Canada, it would mean a lot. Last Place: -Dr. Neo Cortex I had high hopes for Cortex since Superchargers made Bowser one of my favourite overall Fire Skylanders, but even with all his upgrades and at Level 20, he was even more boring to play as than Jet-Vac. Yes, I said it! Dr. Neo Cortex is less fun than Jet-Vac! (He's probably a Sorcerer because he also utilizes N. Tropy's staff in some of his moves.) Bottom Rank: -Pit Boss -Blaster-Tron -Chompy Mage -Buckshot Honestly, these Senseis were either weak, nuance, or downright unreliable. I have very little reason to go back to these characters; unless I absolutely have to, I'm most likely not going to play as them. Not Enough Practice: -Bad Juju -Boom Bloom -Mysticat I found these characters to have some moves that were reliable and others that weren't. I haven't fully upgraded them yet, so I may just need more practice. It's just difficult because so many other characters were easier to pick up and play. Mid-Rank: -Crash Bandicoot -Wolfgang -Ro-Bow -Ambush -Golden Queen These characters have one or two moves I pretty much rely on when playing as them. Those moves are fun, but the rest of their moves are not as strong or reliable by comparison (sometimes only by a little), leaving them ranked below other characters. High Rank: -Wild Storm -Grave Clobber -Chopscotch -Barbella -Ember -Tidepool -King Pen -Pain-Yatta All of these characters are consistently fun to play as at any time. I find their movesets diverse enough to be interesting and simultaneously reliable to handle gameplay properly. I can easily recommend any of these characters to anyone. Top Rank: -Tae Kwon Crow -Flare Wolf (PLEASE FIND TIME TO UPGRADE AND PLAY AS HIM! HE'S WORTH IT!) -Tri Tip -Starcast -Air Strike -Dr. Krankcase (Seriously, use his guns! He's a Quickshot for a reason!) None of these characters let me down any time I played as them. Each one of them has a moveset pool where every attack and every upgrade is powerful, versatile, and (barring Tri Tip's meteor) reliable. Every single one of these characters would qualify in a Top 5 of their respective elements. First Place: -Aurora I've made it no secret. In a similar way how you were hooked by Chain Reaction's design, I was drawn to the lore behind Aurora. In fact, Aurora was the first Sensei I played as. I made it my goal to learn her moves and unlock her full potential, and I was not disappointed. I found her moveset to be the perfect balance between speed, power, and technique. Plus, it's fascinating how she has a deeper connection to the players than any other Skylander by directly addressing them and striking up a conversation with them through some of her quotes. (P.S. If I had to rank Sensei Kaos, he'd probably be Mid-Rank.)
It didn't matter about the path. It's just that I found Buckshot's attacks were not strong enough to handle difficulties higher than Adventurer. I do want to like Buckshot, though. If he had higher attack power, he'd probably make it to High Rank.
I personally love how Chompy Mage is a Bazooker. It's almost as if he goes, "Awww screw it, this staff is useless! Hey Chompy Puppet, what should we do. (In Chompy Puppet's voice) Maybe we try something else? (Normal) Oh yeah! Go, RAWKET LOWNCHER!" Or something stupid like that.
Dr krankcase is op when you have him on the top path. I made it through the battle arena thing without taking a single bit of damage and did it fast as well.
If you pick the hat bot path krankcase is wicked good. You can have SIX robots doing all the work, and you can shoot them with goo to make them a really cool green & they’ll be really tough
The reason cortex is a sorcerer is so they could keep it like the starter pack with a brawler and a sorcerer hence golden queen and king pen and crash and cortex and choppy mage is a bazooker cause they swapped the roles on him in cortex not complaining great vid just trying to explain it
If it were up to me, I would give Hood Sickle the boot, move Tae Kwon Crow to Dark, change him to Knight so he can use his Katana, and give Chef Pepperjack the Fire villain spot. Sucks they didn't do that because his boss fight was very fun back in Trap Team
Chompy mage may be all messed up in this game but on his top path he is quite good. You don't have to do much with him, just let the giant chompies attack the enemies and stay at a distance using the main bazooka attack. Other than that, not a bad list. Tri tip and barbella and pit boss are some of my favourites so glad they are in the top 10. I would definitely give ambush and flare wolf another shot though. I have flare wolf on the top path and ambush on the bottom path and along with pit boss, barbella and blaster tron they make up my top 5.
A brave and bold list. I can see how Chompy. Mage and Neo Cortex rate low as unrepresentative of their expected class. I appreciate that Tidepool gets some love even though she should be top five... BUT Flarewolf and Bad Juju are rated too low. Pit Boss is HIGHLY overrated. Chain Reaction is a predictable number one but RoBow not making top five??? He can roll like Bash!
Not everyone hates Tidepool, because I sure as heck don’t. Other characters I like are Chopscotch, Ember, and maybe even the Chompy Mage. I feel some sensei’s, mainly villains, try to find the easy way to beat shrines instead of actually displaying their many abilities. I feel that Wild Storm’s monster form makes him pretty slow, and a good impression btw. I’m not a real fan of Crash’s health points.
My favorite Sensei is Wolfgang because he was my favorite villain from Trap Team and when I saw that he was a Sensei, I wanted to get him. When I got him on Imaginators Release Day, he was the first Sensei I ever opened. Plus, his gameplay is excellent. His bone arrows take out hordes of enemies and his cool speakers and rock concert ability help with that as well, while also being an excellent defense move. Along with that, I use him to beat the speed run in The Lair Of Kaos.
"But she's shiny, so I'll give her that." XD LOL LMAO HA I DON'T KNOW HOW ELSE TO SAY THIS BUT I ALMOST CRIED!! (After most of my Skylanders like Cynder and my 52 Pop Fizz' disappeared, Golden Queen is my main character, I would recommend you give her a better chance, she's very helpful, APART from being shiny. King Pen is kinda weak in my opinion...But still, LMAO.)
Flarewolf has been my favorite for his epic move set and his explosion based attacks is why he is a powerhouse. I can't get enough of his attacks and quotes.
I know this is super late but that move blastertron does when he curls up into a ball is him charging up a bubble that follows him. if you charge it long enough it ends and the bubble appears.

I agree with the Crash bandicoot one. He has such low life in the game. And I'm still confused about Neo Cortex, why is he a sorcerer when there is a clear presence of a blaster used by Cortex?

My fav is by far grave clobber definitely deserved 12th personally I would have put him on number one since his suplex and top rope slam is awesome and his clobber punches are boss but it’s ur opinion and I’m glad he made 12th
I love air strikes catchphrase part when u put him on the portal. He does this thing where he says I his sick catchphrase but he’s facing the opposite direction to u and it’s so funny!
Wolfgang is number one for me, I think with enough skill he is very good plus him and snapshot are the most nostalgic characters in video game history to me
Hey. Where's Kaos? I know he's technically the clone of Kaos but rather be good, and he has all battle classes which makes him super OP, especially that he has his own element "Kaos" because he has all elements too, but I would like to say that Kaos is the best Skylander along with Crash Bandicoot and my own DIY Skylander from my creation crystal. Also, what's really masterful about Kaos is that he doesn't need a sensei shrine cutscene, so by the time you placed him on the portal, you immediately get his sky-chi power, and that's cool.
I don’t think a character’s class not matching their appearance is a valid criticism. The class of a sensei only determines at what point you unlock their sky-chi and thats it.
And at number 0.1 is Kaos literally a master of all battle classes can take out any boss like its nothing. even though he can't actually teach your imaginators any techniques he can boost there level cap and can give you super good armor
My only pet peeve as a japanese speaker with the Skylanders community: JAPANESE DOESN'T HAVE PLURAR WORDS! In japanese the word for apple and apples is the same "りんご" . You understand which one the speaker is talking about from the context (japanese to my knowledge is the highest contextual language existing in modern times). So that being said, you wouldn't say Senseis as the word literally doesn't exist, you'd say Sensei (先生 ). Exemple: A Sensei, Two Sensei Skylanders, A lot of Sensei. I Know it's not only you, it's the whole community so don't worry, I'm not picking on you in particular 😅 It's just that SI has ONE Japanese word and it sounds like nails on a chalkboard when I hear Senseis. Hope you don't take this as hate, I love your videos and was surprised with some of your ranking choices (Wolfgang😭). Much love ❤

The only decision I didn't like was ranking Master Ambush so low. I did a full playthrough and didnt die once, and when u know how to use him, he's very good. Great Video overall!
