A word of advice, there are many thieves living in trailer parks. I strongly suggest you chain your battery down to your hitch and also keep things locked up!!!! And caulk up the hole where the toilet line is coming in or any other opening that has holes to the outdoors or you will have critters.
Also, for everyone living alone, get an alarm like simply safe, not exponser, just an example. It helps you monitor the camper while away and it keeps you safe while inside.
Probably best to get some sort of alarm system as well. I know they have them for RV’s. Just like house alarms. I’d put cameras all around the inside and outside as well. I’d even put a doorbell camera on it. I know I’m a paranoid person, but my feeling is “better safe than sorry”. Especially nowadays when everything in this world is so unpredictable, and just not safe.
I thought the same thing when battery box was just sitting there. Keep all things locked up under storage. You went and brought your septic hoses, my friend’s parents was stolen while off for day. Sad that we live in this world but we do
As a professional camper... 1. Water Regulator 2. Water Filters 3. Bar Support for the bumper so you have support for the sideways sway 4. New Steps that are longer and have a railing 5. Check and Replace the Ion Tube. They corroded and need replaced every 3 months or so 6. Cover your Tires. They will rot in the sun especially in the tread If you have any questions, please ask me. We live in our trailer all Summer. You're going to love this time in your life.
Just a couple of suggestions from someone who has camped in a camper for 30+ years. 1. Get a good power surge protector to plug into the campground power pole then plug your camper plug into that (you will be glad you did) 2. Get a water pressure regulator that goes on the campground water connection then your drinking water hose connects to that. Look these up with your brothers on you tube it will explain more why these are important. And as someone else has said, make sure all hole are sealed up, you do not want mice getting into your camper/home. You & your brothers have done an amazing job and your home is looking so good. Can’t wait to see the big reveal🤗
How much is necessary to spend on a surge protector. Some are so much but some are cheap to and I don’t know what brand to get or anything 😂and my parents have had campers for years but never used one
I'm not a very trusting soul so I got a surge protector that was installed in the trailer. I was afraid that someone might steal one that was just plugged in outside.
A lot of people have mentioned getting an alarm and get your brother to make a metal clamp that you can lock your battery and propane bottles with. I follow a lot of other you tubers that renovate their RV’s and schooires they always change the locks on the doors as they say that it is easy getting into the old Rv locks. They also have a camera at the back and around the Rv so that they can see around the Rv if they hear noises. Ask your brother that helped with the electrical to put a light outside your front door. At night this will light up the side where the front door is. Being a woman alone you just need to be prepared. It is looking stunning so far.
Lots of people don't realize to keep your black water tank closed until it's full then open to empty followed by your Grey water tank to flush the crap out of your sewer line ...if you leave it open the fluids will empty but the solids will remain and dry out and plug things up....always shut your water off in case there is an accident it could save your camper
Great suggestions! I always dumped gray water tanks after for any last remaining particulate but Getting a tank flushing water hose attachment wand (for use down the commode) works wonders too!
It may sound strange… when you pee just put the t/paper in a trash can instead of the black tank. We have been RVing since ‘93, last year had an issue with tp in the black tank… reducing the tp load is really helpful to draining the tank. Now we understand why we had challenges before with the black tank.
I’m so proud of you young lady. Especially because you stay positive through trails and errors and not one curse word came out of your mouth. There were other videos I had watched and many girls your age would curse up storms just horrible. So I appreciate your videos. New to your channel
Leah, you are great!! A couple tips, get you a water pressure gauge and water filter hook to your incoming water line from the shore water line. Second, get a 50 amp, if that is your camper power strength, surge protector!!! You don't want blow any waterlines and you don't want replace a refrigerator, tv, a.c. if you get a surge and blows something out. Oh, one more thing, if your sewer hose did not come with a clear part, get one of those too so you can see that everything comes out my dear. Love your videos and your family, keep them coming girl!!!!
Hey Leah, a few comments as a new RVer myself. All the lights will connect to the batteries you recently replaced. Im also in houston, and the heat will get pretty strong, I recommend moving into a covered parking spot if poisslbe. it makes a huge difference with reducing the heat and the sound of the rain hiting the RV. The first few weeks i had a two small leaks, probably caused by fittings that were damaged during cold seasons which were not winterized correctly.
Yay, so happy for you to have everything coming together. You and your brothers have worked so hard on your new home and it looks so good. Loving the countertops too. Glad you came home before that toilet overflowed. Congratulations, you deserve it. ❤🎉😊
Just discovered this channel and am caught up with the trailer rebuild. I'm impressed with your willingness to jump in and get dirty but what's most impressive is your brothers coming together to get you over the finish line.
Just found this channel. I have so many questions but I'm not the type give my opinion. You're optimism and attitude is incredible. I am a full time camper and have been for quite awhile. Enjoy the ride!
Your attitude towards the issues is positive, your gonna need that kind of attitude. We lived in our 34ft. Fifth wheel and I loved every minute of it. We learned alot.
Just stumbled upon your TikTok page and binged your camper journey!! I am saving money to eventually start my own RV journey. Can’t wait to see more videos ❤
I don't know anything about campers, but it appears your viewers do, I think it's great that you've built such a helpful community. I also thought your brother calling you "lil camper" was cute.
OMG all thebproblems you had during the reno, however your camper looks great now. You have a great supporting family, God bless them all ❤️🙏 Please install alarm + camera system for your security.
So Happy for you girl! I bet you’re so glad to finally have just about everything finished!! Wishing you a beautiful experience with lots of safety and memories💕🙌🏽

I love your vlogs, I have been thinking about purchasing a "fixer upper" camper to live in full time, I love the improvements you and your brothers did to your home, You are so blessed to have brothers that have your back and willing to help you with the tough stuff, God bless them.
Ive loved watching as ive always wanted to re-do a camper. You are very lucky to have talented brothers and your boyfriend as well. Can wait to see it decorated!
You, your boyfriend and your brothers have done an awesome job renovating your camper. Seems like your brothers can fix anything, they are each an asset to fixing everything you need!😊❤
Hi Leah I just found your channel I got it off of Face book shorts I love your Camper I'm an avid Rv person my self of 40 plus years and have a ton of tips for you
Keep the videos coming!! You are actually living the rv life i wanted when I was single. Days in the life of, sound like a good idea for vids, hopefully those are in your thoughts. Thank you for bringing us along this whole journey. You just got yourself a new sub❤🎉
I love that your brothers help you so much ❤ it was so cute when your one brother was like “you need some curtains in here” he’s making sure youre safe in so many ways ☺️
Yes, please continue making more of these videos, I love watching your journey also you’re motivating me so want to get one myself so please don’t stop I’m learning a lot thanks congratulations🎉
I Love all the work you've done! It looks amazing! I'm currently living in a 40ft travel trailer myself and it's from 2007. It desperately needs a makeover in the inside. Slowly we'll start doing it over but it's hard when you're living in it!! Love all your color choices, countertops, and lighting! Can't wait to see the big reveal and how you decorate!!!
Wow this has been great to watch you and I absolutely love how humble you are to admit when you don’t know things 🤣❤️😊💯 and then to trust your brothers judgements on stuff love it! Super funny when you and your brother shared that oh-oh moment with the shower head! Reminded me of my brothers when I was younger and we all lived in the same house hold what a precious bond y’all must have to be so kind to each other and helpful💯💯🙌🙌❤️❤️🙂🙂
We line in a tiny home. My son was using the toilet. We heard a loud crack. 20ye I’ll toilet broke. We til our landlady. She purchased a new one. My son installed. For some reason we had to replace the wax seal. But he learned a new skill.
I love watching yours and Morgan’s longer videos, we get to see how close you are as a family unit and see the bond you all have. My family is everything to me and seeing how you guys are too melts my heart. Your work ethics are so on point and it’s definitely a good trend to have instead of being another RU-vidr influencer who thinks they are simply entitled. Work hard.. Play hard… Happy new home anyway and hope it brings you good health, wealth and happiness. Love n best wishes from Debbie in Bristol uk xx
WOW amazing girl🎉❤ Congratulations for fixing up your camper/Rv. Beautiful and God bless and be careful and be safe out there. And please please make more videos like these I love watching them
I dont use the city water. I fill the tank and only turn the water pump on when need it. A leak can be disastrous. ALSO, I only leave the hotwater heater on when I need it because it can overheat. Unrelated but important, don't leave your awning out when you are away. Best of luck to you.
