His goals were justified. He wanted to achieve heaven and he did it for humantiy. His way of going to heaven was pretty brutal but it was for the entirity of humanity. I guess it didn't really matter how he reached that end as he says at the end of Stardust Crusaders.
@@Reyedeku hard to say if it was for 'humanity', the only person who survive the time acceleration is pucci, other humans barely make it. for dio, his goal wasn't very clear.. first he envy his brother jonathan, then went on with vampire career, but then again his vampire career isn't very impactful for humanity. his only goal was to eliminate joestar bloodline, but what else ? none.
@@CrownedZayne he is one of the 2 main antagonists, there is only diego up until the D4C arc and after the start of the high voltage arc, which is about 70% of the story
@@fawkewe I'd say it's all 6 since: Part 2: The villains are the ones where he got his vampire powers originally Part 4: the stand arrow came from one of his minions. Plus the whole Joestar feud wouldn't happen without him anyway.
I started watching JoJo knowing nothing about the plot. I knew the memes, I'd heard about high school kids fighting with invisible men behind their backs, but nothing more specific. My first surprise was the lack of stands, schoolboys, and the presence of old England and the HAMON. My first burst of manic laughter was at the phrase "It was me, Dio!" because FOR SOME REASON I didn't think JoJo memes would appear in JoJo. I wasn't able to watch this anime seriously since. Best comedy show, 9/10, where the anime based on Steel Ball Run
I thought at first the plot was about Jonathan and dio fighting each other over generations and getting adaptaed to each era and getting stand abilities with the arrows, I actually thought Joseph was Jonathan until they talked about his family
And I was disappointed the stands weren’t doing an appearance, when they did I couldn’t appreciate and miss hamon more, The stands had appeared but at what cost
Love that there are even 3 categories of how Dio is called in the series: by himself(kono Dio), by his servants( Dio-sama) and by everyone else(just Dio). That's how you know this villain is important
Dio in nutshells: Part 1 : Dio Brando Part 2: The pillar men who are responsible to create the mask that Dio used Part 3: DIO Part 4: DIO's disciples in a small town in Japan (Angelo, Nijimura-san and Yoshihiro Kira) and their sons (Keicho Nijimura and Okuyasu Nijimura and Yoshikage Kira) along with the arrow that made DIO got his Stand. Part 5: DIO's bastard son who has a dream to be a Gang-Star Part 6: DIO's boyfriend who wants to help to achieve his plan and another bastards sons of DIO who unfortunately are not as useful as the protagonist of Part 5. Part 7: Alternate universe Dio who is still the same but he can turn to be a dinosaur. Oh, there's also another alternate universe Dio who can stop time. Part 8: Dio is not here but there's a flashback about him. Meanwhile, the Jojos: Part 1: Gentleman Jojo Part 2: Prankster Jojo Part 3: Deliquent Jojo Part 4: Weird Hair Jojo Part 5: Blonde Jojo or Giogio Part 6: Girl Jojo Part 7: Cripple Jojo Part 8: Four Balls Jojo
@@heehomgee4671 Well, Part 4 is the introduction of the arrow only later Part 5 is telling the origin of the arrow and how Diavolo found it and sold it to Enya and spread it around the world and Part 6 is how DIO gives Pucci the arrow so he can granted a Stand.
Dio really just that big of a menace, despite only being alive in two seasons with one being short af, he really is a huge fucking deal nearly constantly
I was amazed on how many DIOs are in part 1 eps 1 being mentioned so I gotta do the math: Phantom Blood eps 1's duration (minus the Roundabout ED) was around 21 minutes and 21 seconds long, aka 1281 seconds long. 1281 divided by 38 is 33.7, so we got about almost 2 DIOS per minute on part 1 episode 1
This seems like 2 guys are fighting whether to call him "DIO" or "DIO-sama" and Dio himself just frequently interrupts to ask them to just call him DIO
it feels like Dio is like Aizen Sosuke from Bleach, like he planned everything, many generations know Dio and what he did and Dio's name goes through every season, even the generation of Jolyne😂
Its incredible how in phantom blood with just 9 episodes there were "178 dio's" a bit less thab 20 per episode and then in battle tendency there are just a bit
It's funny to suddenly start hearing "Dio sama" but with spanish in mind. You are viewing a video of JJBA and out of the blue you hear over and over again "God Loves / Dios ama". I swear to Dio I thought my granma was talking to me again lmao.
Phantom blood has: 178 Dio. 9 Episode. Battle tendecy has: 9 Dio. 17 Episode. Stardust crusaders has: 272 Dio. 39 Episode. The world arc 9 Episode Diamond is unbreakable has: 17 Dio. 39 Episode. Golden wind has: 10 Dio. 39 Episode. Stone ocean has: 29 Dio. Idk how many episode ig 39?? I might have a lot of these wrong so im kinda stuped.
