Drummers never get enough love. These vids show how much work and talent goes into it. Can't imagine doing this for 30-45 mins (or longer) every few days or so for weeks on end. Mad respect.
You can tell the mark of a truly talented drummer when you see them make a minor timing mistake on a beat and pick up immediately after like nothing happened. At 1:57ish he has a very minor hesitation and misses one or two of the probably thousands of hits in this song, but immediately recognizes where he should be and continues from there. Goose is insane.
Also that's when he switches to double bass for the final chorus so its possible he made a mistake and thought he was going into the same pattern, which he instantly recognized that and made the adjustment. So fire.
Throughout the song he's firing off on all cymbals in 3s or 4s.....sometimes it actually makes to downsize for a moment on effort to make a certain part of a track stand out more.
@@Matt-hg2iz You're referring to a different part at 2:07. I'm talking about the same pattern that occurs at 0:40 that also happens at 1:58. It looks like a right hand floor tom, low crash, mid crash, high crash pattern that he hits the first time, but misses one part in the middle of it later on. But again, he knows exactly where he needs to be to stay on beat, which is just as impressive as playing it flawlessly. Kudos Goose, hope to see you tear it up soon.
I watched their whole set and this guy KILLED it! Not to mention it was like over 90 degrees and the longest break this guy had from murdering his drums the whole set was approx. 2:21 - 2:28 🤘🏼well done. Thanks for filming!
Goose learned the songs very quickly, especially daniel davidsons intricate fast parts from the songs off the latest record. Impressive. Great content.
It's crazy how ETID and Norma Jean has shared drummers, 1st was Dan, 2nd Clayton, and Ryan 'Legs' has filled Clayton's spot in Norma Jean. Clayon's work in Norma Jean's Polar Similar album was killer, can't wait to see what he does in ETID.
Saw ETID in s basement last fall with their new drummer and was skeptical at first because I didn’t know Daniel left the band, but holy shit did Goose ever slay

Sean Johnson same man! I love that dude. Such an insane drummer. Love him on the underoath record he's on and on Low Teens. I checked their wiki and it says he's not in the band anymore. But I mean it's wiki so idk!
He is not in the band anymore. He left last year, but he and the band are on good terms. He didn't want to do the touring lifestyle anymore. Goose is a great replacement- he was in Fear Before the March of Flames and Norma Jean.
