It’s well known that Australia is arguably the most dominant country in the sport of rugby league. Winning a record 12 World Cups and a record 105 International competitions since 1908. However some countries have stepped up to beat the Kangaroos and have either had the honour of beating the most dominant country of all time or ended up beating them in a final, winning an International competition for their country.
For this list, we will only be considering international matches in the NRL era which is from 1998-2023, with Australia losing a total of 16 times during this period.

The fallout of that Tonga defeat was a classic. Obviously because majority of the squad then was NSW meant it was all NSW fault we lost. Case in point, strong Queensland equals strong Kangaroos

Just fyi in the recent flogging Australia recieved it was on the back of a dominant qld win in SOO and against the kiwis the roos had 10 qlders (out of the 17)

Kangaroos have been playing since 1908. Not 1998. Change the title. The 'NRL era' doesn't apply to internationals. Kangaroos are administered by the ARL.

I think he is saying all internationals that have taken place within the NRL Era. Mostly because that's the most reliable for photos, footage, and name recognition for current viewers.

Video would be way too long to count all our losses since 1908 and before the 70’s or 80’s there would be very limited photos and video to choose from.
