What I loved about the Golden Age arc is how low fantasy it is, bit like the first book in Game of Thrones. When Zod shows up for the first time half way through it, it comes as a massive shock to everyone and he is absolutely terrifying, destroying everyone around him. By the time of the Conviction Arc he is simply Griffith's lapdog and a foil to Guts, which just shows the absolute insanity of the power scaling in Berserk and how everything goes from zero to eleven with the Eclipse and the world from low fantasy to high fantasy, like when the Dragons show up in Game of Thrones with the Comet.
Maybe if Griffith had kept his ambition and greed in check then nothing would have happened at the eclipse but noooo he couldn't just be happy being a general.
@@JR-zp3nwGriffith's ambition wasn't his fatal flaw. It was his complete inability to be vulnerable. Griffith wasn't a monster, he was emotionally crippled, and it cost him dearly. This is contrasted with Guts, who starts out the exact same, but learns how to be loyal and genuine.
Thank you. This is my favorite track and goes really unappreciated I also heard a lot at the time I was struck in calamity. Today marks a year I lost my beloved granny, it was her bday and I was listening to this one track at that day. I miss her so much. Thanks for this video
Thank you for making this video! I have been looking for this for quite a while! And I agree with you, this is the best Berserk track! And thank you for the bunos clips :D
La primera vez que vi esta escena pense en que era realmente la amistad, la rivalidad, los sueños, la decepción, el amor, el odio, la lealtad, la traición, la vida, la muerte...
Yes, the OG dub cast are great. But I just like imagining if berserk had the rings of power budget and they can pick whoever to dub the characters I would like to hear Karl Urban as Guts Matt Smith as Griffith Giancarlo Esposito as Void/narrator Eva green as Slan Ken Jeong as Ubik The mountain as Zodd Charles Dance as Federico de Vandimion Idris Elba as Skull Knight. Maybe that's all I can think so far
Nice list, don't understand your choice with Skull Knight though. But if you care here is my choice for The God Hand (before Famto) Void: Mark Hamil- Malefor (Spyro 4) Slan: Kathleen Barr- Roodaka (Bionicle 3: The Web Of Shadows) Ubik: Jamie Hanes- Violator (Spawn) Conrad: Alex Hirsch- probably one of his mianicle roles in Gravity Falls like Bill Cipher.
That's your opinion, but to call it "way better" is a bit absurd to me. This cast is utterly iconic, far more iconic than the original Japanese cast, for a reason. Griffith being voiced by a Broadway actor will forever be great.
