Obtaining GCSE Maths at a grade 4 is one of the conditions that I have for getting onto my Paramedic Science Degree from September! The maths teacher at my college (I'm redoing GCSEs and taking an Access Course simultaneously) is nice, but goes WAY too fast - I haven't done maths (like this) for 25years! Prior to finding this channel, I was averaging 50% on practice papers. Now, I'm averaging 90%. Honestly, without these videos, I would not have passed. They have literally changed my life. Thank you so much.

@@Mxox1 congratulations on your uni place! It's such a long journey! Paper 3 went okay I think. Only questions I couldn't get my head around was the speed conversion question ( just couldn’t remember how to do lol). Also the Trapezium one towards the end. All the rest I managed to answer. Just a longgg wait till August now 🥲. How did you find paper 3?

I got a tip to save more time in the exam for the HCF of 24 and 64 24 64 / \ / \ 3 8 8 8 /\ /\ /\ 2 4 2 4 2 4 /\ /\ /\ 2 2 2 2 2 2 NEXT, we look at all the same prime factors left in 24 and 64. So as we can see 64 and 24 only have the prime factor 2 in common. As there are three 2's in 24 and 64 means we can times 2, 3 times. so 2x2x2= 8 so therefore that is the answer. I will give another example 35 and 75 find HCF 35 75 / \ / \ 5 7 5 15 / \ 5 3 There's both one 5 as a prime factor in the 35 and 75 so the HCF is just 5 HCF or 35 and 75 = 5

Unfortunately I’m not taking on any further students this academic year 😰 thank you so much for the kind words though, the whole reason I set up the channel was to be able to reach more students, my only limit was time and my waiting list was through the roof so I always hoped the channel would help! In regards to teaching styles you need to look at what works for you, there are further RU-vid channels that focus on a-level content if the visual aspect works for you, then I would focus primarily on past papers, getting used to exam style questions and exam structures! If I could cover it all I would.. if only I had more time! 🙏🏼

I should practice the hardest questions in these topics right? Because my problem with paper 2 was that I studied the minimum you need to know for most topic and then did some harder questions but not enough, then in the exam for exchange rates and some other topics they chose the hardest question you could get in that topic. In other words these are the most simple for each topic right?

you kinda have to apply ur own knowledge when it comes to those questions I would recommend looking at maths genies topic papers since they cover the basics and more harder ones in dept

@@inlovewithol7603 yh ik that but on the exams they take it a step further, like I know how to do money conversion, but if you now come asking me to do it with weight tied to it that’s mad. So it’s not just learning all you need to know about money conversion for real life, it’s literally looking for the hardest questions on each topic these guys are gonna sneak in there.
