Let's get to know every transgender queens who competed in Rupaul's Drag Race from season 1 to season 16. #rupaulsdragrace #dragrace #rupaul #transgender
Correction 🥲 1. Eureka is on Season 9&10 not 10&11 2. Hence, there are three seasons with no trans: Season 1, Season 7 and Season 11. 3. Jinkx Monsoon should be included in the list. 4. Kelly Mantle should also be included in the list.
Kelly Mantle may be missing from the list. She's identified herself as a transwoman before but also identifies as transfemme nonbinary and gender fluid. Edit: y'all, I did not ask Kelly if she was trans; I'm just going off her comments earlier. But it does seem she no longer calls herself a transwoman, and recently was submitted for an award under both male and female. Maybe she's settled on nonbinary gender fluid, or maybe it's an ongoing journey. "I don't know her personally, mother darling"
@@lucior.7565 she has called herself a "lesbian trans gay woman" (which is redundant) and dresses female presenting during the day, but has been credited as gender fluid and nonbinary. She also had facial feminizing surgery. So she could be considered trans because she has identified as that before, like transgender nonbinary.
correct me if i'm wrong but Monica came out during reunion? and Peppermint entered the competition openly trans so Monica was the first one to come out while competing but Pepper was the first to enter openly trans, I'm pretty sure
I genuinely did not know most of these queens who came out as trans. even from the newer seasons, very happy for all of them! i really hope the show embraces more trans queens in future seasons and doesnt only limit it to one trans queen a season (obv s14 is the exception with every queen coming out before the finale aired)
Kenya Olivera quit drag in 2016 because she was doing a gig at The Pulse in Orlando on that tragic night. I know that it’s your video and you can put in whatever you want, but I think it’s worth remembering those who lost their lives that night and that we can never forget.
@@_DROM_ It was Cynthia Lee Fontaine. And Trinity the Tuck was a former Miss Pulse. And Trinity the Tuck had performed the week before the shooting. Cynthia Lee Fontaine was supposed to perform the night of the shooting. But she had to reschedule due to being in Houston at the time. And her friend Martin died at Pulse.
You mainly mentioned queens that have gone through medical transition, but lots of them also came out as non-binary or genderqueer : Sasha Velour, Shea, Monét, Jinkx, Kelly, Bob, Morphine, Trinity the Tuck,...
"Adore Delano, she looks stunning. Laganja Estranja, looks sickening. MEANWHILE Gia Gun..." c'mon scripts do a better job than that unless you're really just an AI generated channel.
@@jarredah but non-binary is part of the transgender umbrella, you don't need to be trans male or trans female (so *binary* trans) to be consider transgender
@@ppermoons No it is not part of the trans umbrella. They sure would love to be tho. Non binary, they/them pronouns….that’s a bunch of BS. If gender isn’t binary, how come you transition between male and female (TWO GENDERS, ALSO KNOWN AS BINARY)… if your body parts don’t determine your gender, how come cutting them off affirms it? So many contradictions that don’t make a lick of sense. Non binary people want to exist under the trans umbrella so that they have a label and feel like they belong to a community. REAL trans people don’t agree with that ish. Anybody can just say they are “non-binary”, that does not make them trans.
Kornbread was so smart (In terms of making reality TV) for her coming out plan. I'm just saying but had she made it to the finale and came out to her younger-self, that'd have been the best moment of the season.
Also it sucks that some girls that “came out” after the show really were trans the whole time but back then it was said that you’d be more likely to get on if you concealed that.
There are some mistakes, like monica beverly hills who came out on an episode, and kylie who came out during the season 2 reunion. Also non binary ppl are included in the trans umbrella, but i do understand that this is a trans woman tally up video
@@branluck5856 its not that simple honestly, a large portion of non binary do transition and identify as trans - many don't and live their lives as functionally cisgender - its not that cut and dry
kylie actually has said during the past years that she openly talked about being a trans woman during filming but the editors left it out so then she had to come out "again" at the reunion
It is getting to the stage where it will be easier to make a list of Drag Queens who are not trans or have not modified their bodies. I miss the art of the illusion.
This is a h&ll lot of trans women, considering the small percentage of people with gender dysphoria in the US alone 😮. Guess among DQ it would be the place to find the majority of them. Wishing nothing but happiness to these queens ❤
I think you misunderstood. She spent a year transitioning to female before detransitioning to male. She was not born female and identifies as a man, so she's a cisgender man categorically.
Non binary contestants are technically also trans, and that includes Sasha Velour, and maybe others that I'm not remembering now. (Trans, because they don't identify with their assigned gender at birth. Though some won't feel like they fit under the umbrella, some do.)
You’re missing Jinkx for S5, Kelly Mantle for S6, Trinity the tuck for S9. Also, I don’t want to be the annoying one but the word “casted” is such an ick. Cast stays the same in every tense. #cmonenglishlessons
