Tua is gonna be a top 5 qb here soon, take away the scoreboard he plays the same way up 3 or down 14, going through reads stepping up in the pocket. With that defense teams won’t exactly walk down the field on the dolphins and with those new additions on offense gives tua a lot more freedom and confidence don’t sleep on them.

What people don't see here, are the MANY plays in between where he was under pressure and had no time to throw. You have that happen over and over, and it rattles any QB, and they can't find a rythym, and they start hearing footsteps. Some may not think that's a real thing, but anyone that's played QB will attest to it being true. I don't think Tom Brady would have done much with the worst-blocking offensive line in the NFL, and no run game to keep defenses honest. This kid took hit after hit, and just kept getting up and playing through it. Made several deep, perfect throws. Even the intermediate throws are thrown in the perfect position, so the receiver can catch it and continue running. Ball placement for Tua is excellent, and his arm strength is stronger than most people think. Look at the zip those throws across the middle had. With an offensive line that can pass AND run block, with two fast RBs that can also catch the ball, a FB that's one of the most athletic in the league, and can also block and catch, and now the weapons Miami has put around him? You're going to finally start to see the Alabama Tua. Remember he couldn't practice his rookie year while rehabbing his hip, and then because of COVID, he had no OTAs, no preseason. Just threw him into the fire. I saw an improvement last year, but without a good line or a solid run game, a QB can only do so much. Can't wait to see the plays Mike McDaniel draws up for these guys. Tyreek, Waddle, Devante Parker, Mike Gesicki, Cedrick Wilson, Edmonds, Mostert, and Ingold, with a line that can actually give him time and open holes? Yeah, we could see a Josh Allen-like quantum leap from year two to year three. People forget that Allen STUNK his first two years. All he could do was run the ball, but had many 100 yard passing games.

People calling Tua noodle arm not realizing he simply has to release quicker than all other QBs in the NFL and hence his targets are not further up the field. Hopefully next year the line will be much stronger, the run game will exist and Tua can be in better position to succeed and sling it.

You do realize that the receivers had to adjust to the throw on almost every one of those plays. It also includes shorter passes where the receiver made the yards after the catch. It omits the incompletions, so it is very one sided.
@jhiieri7812
@jhiieri7812 2 года назад
You do realize that 90% of the time the throws are made specifically expecting an adjustment from the receiver or the DB would know exactly where the ball would go and have a higher chance of intercepting it. Have you never heard of the term throwing it where only your receiver can catch it? Shorter passes where the receiver makes a run for a lot of YAC count for all other quarterback. Are you saying that those passes should not count just for Tua? Also, you omit the fact that the title of the video uses the word "Completion" and not "Attempt", so your comment is very one sided.
@kingrex1931
@kingrex1931 2 года назад
Off target throws aren't thrown that way on purpose, plus most of those throws were closer to the DB than they would have had if the pass had been accurate. Forcing receivers to make acrobatic catches causes less completions. Many of the passes in the video looked to be shorter than 20 yards as well, so I'm guessing the guy put anything close in the video as well.
@jhiieri7812
@jhiieri7812 2 года назад
@@kingrex1931 I don't know what video you were watching, but most of the throws were away from the DB as they should have been. @kingrex1931
@kingrex1931 2 года назад
Most of those throws led the receivers closer to the defender or there wasn't a defender in the area. They were errant throws. When someone says "Root for another team" it just proves that they can't defend their position in the discussion. Tua isn't good. Plain and simple. He isn't even a top 10 QB in the AFC and not even a top 20 QB. Miami is at a severe handicap with Tua playing!
@jhiieri7812
@jhiieri7812 2 года назад
@@kingrex1931 when someone outright lies about what the video shows it just proves that they're full of it. Plain and simple. Most of those throws were exactly where they needed to be. So the receiver is the only one that can make the adjustment and catch the ball. Did you even watch the video, or are you THAT illiterate when it comes to the game?
