@@JojoplayAB Is it? I didn't know that horoscope term, but I remember reading somewhere that they wanted to have a 'fairy tale-ish vibe" to Taro, so they took it from the generic fairy tale names (eg momo-tarou, urashima-tarou, kin-tarou, etc).

It was a show made in 1966 after all. You should try listening to the 40th anniversary edition of Ultraman No Uta which just sounds so much better.

@@possiblymatt7970 "Taro" means "boy" in japanese, so Ultraman Taro is "Ultraman Boy" and Momotaro is "peach boy"!!!!

And so it taro. I guess ultraman "insert name" is considered one English word. Like you don't translate name of a person to another language when speaking.
