If you watch his footwork, throwing motion and ball placement it’s actually very similar to college level CJ Stroud. Especially how his Blackfoot lifts up upon release.
He reminds me more of JT Barrett - power, deceptive speed and shiftiness, tough competitor with questionable arm skills. Seems like his midrange game is solid, but he's shaky with the deep ball.
his ability to let go of the ball so quickly and throw right in between defenders to get the reciever is amazing. excited to have this kid at ohio state. 2024 is feena be our playoff yr
All good and dandy but if he fucks up we already know those no life buckeye fans gonna come for his throat. I pray our Oline isn’t atrocious though that’s the only thing I pray.
I would like to say, I hope he comes to Ohio State. This is exciting football he was producing. Also, sorry Kansas State. I wish you all the best. You’re always a fun program to root for.
@ryanzand7549 I wouldn't go cannon, but definitely a serviceable arm. He can struggle deep, but extremely accurate short and mid. He would consistently convert 4th down pass plays. His biggest strengths are leadership and mental toughness.
@ryanzand7549 He def can sling it if he's planted. If he ends up at OSU I'll be rooting hard for the guy. Nicest dude you'll meet, and has worked his ass off to get here.
I've read a lot of comments ripping on his arm strength, but I see nothing wrong with it. He doesn't have a cannon but the ball gets there with decent velocity and accuracy
Bro.. you don’t realize how dank this cat is until you go back and his release is beautiful. come to Ohio state and compete.. get Air Noland ready for 2025.. talented QB man:3 Kansas state had a Gem and he knows his worth.
There is nothing not to like. He's big, strong, fast, and deadly accurate with his passes. He may become the 1st overall selection in the 2025 NFL draft.
0:01 - 2020 Season (backup to injured Skylar Thompson) 1:13 - 2021 Season (backup to injured Skylar Thompson, again) 1:50 - 2022 Season (backup to injured Adrian Martinez, became starter) 3:46 - 2023 Season (full year starter)
He scored three times on Mizzou so he’s already better than the entire Ohio State offense rn glad to have him if the Oline does their Job this years OSU squad could be very deadly
I dont think hes going to be great but the fact that he runs and extends plays is the reason hes better than mccord. I mean milrow cant throw to save his life but he was better because he extended plays thats it
