You probably are the 1st to capture and get pretty close to these Northern owls. I think their eyesight is as good if not better than your camera. Idk. I do know owls can see far off. Wow...Thank you Richie! I'm right on the outskirts of Cleveland Ohio and last week there was a large influx of owls here. If I were to guess 2 or 3 per 100 square yards. All I could tell is the were not our usual barred owls that normally live around here. So close and expressive. When I would go out to listen to them I always had my 2 small dogs who freaked out so visually I was unable to locate them but something was very unusual. Thank you so much for sharing. Kind of make sense they may rest up before possibly crossing lake Erie or hugging the shoreline and going around her. Went out many times just to listen to them. I could tell something was up due to the numbers of them and they were just within a rocks throw away. I'd like to think we would make a nice stopping place here in Cleveland right before Christmas next year too. Thanks again for sharing and opening my eyes once again. And like you said. Soon they will be gone. It was only maybe 2 days then back to Silent Nights. Love ya man. Keep doing your thing. God blesses us all. It's up to you from there what you do with it.

I'm reviewing some of your older videos and this one caught my eye. When I was younger, I grew up in the sticks of Southern Maryland; animals were never afraid of me. A white-tailed deer (doe) actually ate an apple out of my hand. It still makes me smile when I think of those days. Still, as adult living in Maine for the last 35 years, I have had bull moose come in front of me and cow moose show me their young. I understand Ritchie, I understand. Beautiful snowy owl footage; they always see you before you even see them.

Heard that another reason the Snowy Owl comes up our way is to get away from extreme cold, maybe to mate, also. Maybe coming up our way is their summer vacation, checking out the beaches, as I like to do. Plus these creatures know you mean no harm and probably are giving you a little wave, hi, how ya do'in! Their distance eyesight and night vision are amazing, our tech, man can only try to match, in my opinion.

God bless you, Richie. Like yourself, I'm a "country boy" from the city. I don't really follow sports these days, but we both come from different cities, but they both have a "Sox" baseball team! Keep doing your thing, brother. I absolutely love the nature videos you share. I liked the other ones too, but RU-vid only allows so much truth to be spoken. We can't have 100% honesty here. Anyhow, I love the footage. I am fascinated by birds of prey, and birds in general. I had two conures and a parakeet as a kid. I had a couple cockatiels in my 20s. No birds now, but I DO have a bearded dragon and a gecko. The wife and I love reptiles.

*Epic Video again*! Richie. I made a bad cast once sitting on the St. Johns River in Florida. My Lure went over a branch up high too and friend was laughing it up. *Until the Owl came out of the trees and latched on to my Lure and started doing circles as he flew because the line was caught.* Must have been 20 ft in the air too. bad cast.
