Loved this Marie!! Next time, TRADER JOES! 😉 Also, I totally understand why and I support your pretty brief hiatuses from the Tube, but I just have to say, you are such an amazing RU-vidr! I love every single video you put out!
I’m sitting here watching this while I’m almost 28 weeks pregnant and you still manage to make me feel so at ease and happy. I love the cuppa happy and seeing you and your little family❤️
silly judgey people. I've seen someone vlogging at a mall and I just giggled to myself because it does look ridiculous but I also know they're trying real hard and they're probably having a lot of fun doing it.
My husband and I moved to New Zealand about a year ago and WE MISS COSTCO so much! So it was great to just have a little slice of Costco in your video today!
even if all you ever did was talk to the camera, no edits I would still love your videos the most! Thank you for your recent uploads!!! also, i love costco
as a British person I find any American food shopping SO interesting because everything looks so weird to me (and also usually expensive but i don't understand dollars), like I know it's a different country but seems like a different world
We have costco in UK, just not quite as big. And currently due to exchange rate, $13 is £10 which should give make the prices make more sense. Things do seem expensive in costco but normally its cause you are buying a MAHOOSIVE bag
We moved from the UK to the States 14 years ago and in our experience we find shopping here a lot more expensive than say the quality and prices at Asda or Lidl for example.
LOVED this Marie!! 😍😊 We don't have stores like Costco in Norway so I always love to go there when I visit Seattle. Do more like these "Come shop with me, traders Joe's, target, etc" 👌🙌
I'm from England and last summer visited Canada. When my hosts asked me what I wanted to see whilst I was there, I, a 21 year old, asked to be taken to their supermarkets, including costco. I was amazed.
I have two Costcos within easy driving distance and love them. Don't have a membership, but love going shopping with my mom. Not a huge bulk shopper, but there are things you can only get at Costco. You did an awesome job giving us a tour of Costco.
I have a ton of clothes from Costco. Typically comfy lounge wear, pjs, or workout clothes. But we also love the roast chickens, pineapple habanero sauce, and big baking mixes
@@mariethatsme We use it as a glaze for chicken and sometimes pork. But it's also great as a dipping sauce. But unfortunately it's one of those items that comes to our Costco about once a year. So we stock up when they have it!
I love Costco. My kids are quick to tell people it's my favorite store. The snack cups of the organic hummus are a go to for us and the book sets are a big hit too.
I really appreciate this! I know how awkward you must feel filming yourself in public but this video brings me all the joy of browsing costco for goodies without making the two hour drive it takes me. :)
Big jam jar... i feel the same way so I started decanting into a couple of small tuppers. Stack neatly in fridge and no jam all over the back of my hand 😉
Love costco!! Our current favorite is the vacuum sealed pouch of three pounds of shredded rotisserie chicken breast they hide over by the refrigerated ready to cook stuff. I mean, chicken salad, casseroles, soup, enchiladas... the possibilities are endless. we break it up into portions and freeze it. And then I have a 32 Degrees lightweight down jacket that I bought for $15 three years ago that's still going strong. And we buy the five pounds of frozen low-fat ground beef that comes in a bag with five one pound rolls you can defrost one at a time.
I ABSOLUTELY love Costco!!! I love their socks, chocolate chip cookies, cheescake, pizzas and chicken bake OMG!! I love to walk through each isle hahaha
I was looking at the kids,an how Luca cuddles his little sister,so nice to see you!!! And what is that beautiful flowery thing on your mantelpiece??? I live in The Netherlands,so I can't buy it,but I love it!! I want a mantelpiece lookbook?? And have you ever see Roald Dahl working in his gardenshed??? It is on YT, I am sure you will love it!! And one day he put some flower bulbs in the ground en a couple of months later his granddaughter saw her name spelled in flowers,I thought it was Sophie,I am not sure, but the idea alone is making me sob!
Every time me and my mom go to Costco, we come out with a big cartful of stuff, XD hehe, the hand soap you bought, we love! My mom gets the rose (aluminum free) deodorant for us, amazing! We love the orange chicken there, we throw it together and add some rice and broccoli and/or veggies and it makes some yummy stir-fry ^^, we love the Spinach and Cheese ravioli's, they're super easy to make and super delicious (and they're organic, we are gonna try the squash one thanks to a sampler), and being a family of six, the water, toilet paper, tissues and paper towels are all great items we like! (Oh and the coffee pods!)
I am 24 and still love being my mom's shopping buddy... why buy my own membership when I can use hers! My favorite part is getting lunch before we go in, they have the best pizza there!
The bralettes are my favorite! I’ve gone through like 3 packages of them. Also, I love the Kirkland Sulfate Free Shampoo. Ooh and around Thanksgiving my family stocks up on the bulk size crispy onions!
Where I'm from we have a facebook group called Sharing is Caring (it's city wide but other towns are now imitating us) and it's all about donating or exchanging goods you don't need. I immediately thought about that when you said you don't want to throw things away, even if you hate them, because when that happens to me, I know I can give it away to someone who'll love it more and sometimes even get something useful in return. I don't know if that exists in America, (I'm from a town in France that's pretty into alternative ways of consuming goods and avoiding waste so...) but you should look into that because I think that would be very helpful and it might bring you more joy than you think. Being a part of that community I've met wonderful people that I would have never met and it always amazes me how generous some people can be and in turn how much more generous it made me want to be.
Marie you made me so hungry during this video!! Good thing I was waiting for my sushi to be delivered while I was watching lol! I never know what I can freeze and what I can’t! It seems really cost effective to buy bulk frozen veggies though I never considered that
I had a friend with a Costco membership, so I tagged along and shopped alongside her (I'm not close enough to Costco or any other box store like Sam's to make it worth the membership). Unless you're a great planner, with menus and lists you could go overboard not that I did hahaha!
ooo interesting. I'm in the UK and we have several Costcos dotted across the UK. Our membership cards have our photos on it. We don't have the saver things like socks near the entrance at my local. I'd like that and would definitely be sucked in. I'm intrigued to see more of the US version. Also we have the no vat price and then the vat price underneath (often in smaller print so people don't realise and get caught out). Does yours have like tester stations dotted around the store? OOo you got Kerrygold. proper Irish butter. My nannie used it only ever get that (she was irish!) ooo pizza is the best from costco.making me want to go get some now! Now some of our stores have petrol stations adjoining and i'm wondering if it started in the US or if it's just a uk thing. Anyway thanks for filming. love stephie xx
Costco in the US is so much better than in the UK! Luckily we can use our card over there, so when we do a road trip in California next year we'll be visiting to stock up on bits to keep us going :)
I love the Costco toilet paper and coconut oil! The Kirkland brand shampoo and conditioner are nice, too, and sulfate free, but they have a weird smell to me.
Loved seeing your Costco! We have one here, but it’s quite a bit different than yours 😊 I like the kids’ clothes there...all good quality brands! And how do you only eat one cream puff a night??? That’s why I never buy them...I’d eat WAY more than that a night 😳
I love Costco! My MIL recently introduced me to these organic jarred mangos that is perfect for my fruit obsessed one year old as well as this box of frozen Vietnamese coffee! (Lee’s is the brand) it’s super delicious and is so finically smarter than coffee stand shops.
Our closest Costco is over an hour away, so it doesn’t make sense to get a membership but I envy those that have one! Someday soon I hope we will have one!
I never went to Costco as much as when I became a mum. Besides the baby staples of diapers and formula I must pick up the Kirkland Apple sauce. The organic frozen berries are always in my house and how does anyone possibly leave there without a rotisserie chicken? $5? Yes please!
Idk about your costco but mine has those frozen cream puffs but coated in chocolate and they're so good i would happily buy the whole freezer full.. Damn i need to go back to costco haha
Id like to see how you store the giant bags and boxes without the food going bad. That was always my issue with buying in bulk. Maybe I just didnt have a good system of tupperware 🤦♀️❤
Lillian Briggs Shirley I looked wonderful, with my hair perfectly and curls. Full face of make up and fashion forward outfit. You definitely didn’t see me in sweats and question whether I was actually even wearing a bra… Right? I look great? Tell me I look great. Lie to me!!
mariethatsme You looked beautiful and very tall. I said to my husband “Look, It’s Ryan and Marie!” It was the second time I saw you. I saw you at the Strawberry Festival a few years ago and was star struck then too. 🤪
Whenever I watch your videos about food it SHOCKS me with how expensive groceries are! That would be like half the price in the U.K., maybe even less 😱
Costco makes most of their profit from the yearly membership fee and upward to 90% of the card holders renew their membership. They buy in bulk and unlike most retail shops, they only mark up their items 8 to 10% on most of them and up to 15% on Kirkland products. Just like most retail shops, you got loss leaders, and they are the chicken, gas, and hot dogs/soda. They are wanting you to buy those items while you go out and buy more items. As long as they piss of their customers by changing the price of the $1.50 hot dog/soda, or raise the membership too high then Costco will gain the bigger market share compared to Sam's Club.
Yes love your videos. In Scotland where I am from we don't have Costcos so it is interesting to see what supermarkets are like in America. Thanks for sharing your life with us.💙
I am totally sure you know this but Costco is amazing at their return policy. You can return ANYTHING and they will accept it, no matter if you have thrown it away because of quick decaying 😬 or if you only have one almond left that is rotting 😕(not something I’ve done but a friend has) and guess what...they give your money back 👊🏼
Marie, years ago we chatted in the comments section about dark chocolate digestives (I have no clue why anymore) and I still to this day whenever I see you pop up, I think to myself "I must send that lady some dark chocolate digestives". It's so bizarre.
