Idk with the exception of Squirrelflight everyone else was right for the job, earned their place, or was forced into it by SC. So it's more like real coincidences rather than nepotism. But depending on how you look at it I can see his point.
Oh yeah the nepotism needed to be pointed out, but the way/time in which it happened was really annoying... No, Squilf isn't officially leader, but she's the only one with any leadership experience besides Graystripe, who is retired and is seen as a frail old man-- so what are they supposed to do? There's literally no other alternative (besides appointing a different acting deputy, but Thornclaw had an issue with Squirrels authority as a whole so that wouldn't have solved the problem)

EVEN THE MEDICINE CATS are closely related to firestar and moonkitti has pointed this out in videos before "leafpaw is medicine cat to keep the power in the family" lol funny joke but still rings true.
@@TheRibottoStudios I'm not denying that the nepotism isn't an issue lol, I totally agree that it is and that there were tons of different options for leadership positions during the events of the previous arcs and I'm extremely sick of seeing Firestar's kin have all the power. But I'm referring to RIGHT NOW, in the events of THIS arc. Squirrelflight was the last properly-appointed deputy, and the ONLY warrior with any official leadership experience, so it makes no sense for the characters to act like she isn't worthy of that position. It would make more sense if they pointed out the nepotism with a focus on how she made Lionblaze deputy, and demand that she pick someone different, but it doesn't make sense for the characters to whine about how Squirrel is in power and imply that she needs to step down when she's literally the only cat that is qualified for the position atm.
this is just blossomfall's worst year ever. losing her sister she never got to reconcile with, her mother whose attention she craved so desperately, her son killed by his own clanmates, and now her dad and mate just dipping for no reason

If there’s one thing that warriors is god awful at, it’s paying attention to mental trauma and familial losses. The only time warriors paid proper attention to anything was Fireheart’s forever guilt over Cinderpelt and the three’s reactions to their parents, which, unfortunately, was actually vastly overblown in the society of warriors. Blossom will probably be dead and or relegated to nursery queen by next book without any more lines to deliver lmao.

Makes a promise Instantly breaks the promise _As much as I remember_
I like how everyone is like "you're not leader. You don't organize daily patrols!" But as far as I can remember it is deputy that chooses hunting and boarder patrols in all the arcs I've read unless the leader pops up and says otherwise. The only time I can think that the leader chooses a patrol without any deputy input is if they're organizing one for the purposes of attacking another Clan's camp or something. I mean honestly the majority of the time Firestar is leader I kind of assume he's just hanging out in his den like Stoneteller or something as he isnt mentioned and doesn't really appear on page unless it is plot relevant. Think about it.

Notice how Squirrelflight organized the patrols and they responded " Your not our leader." Even if she wasn't shed still be your f'ing deputy so she could still tell you to do the patrol.

Lumea Noastra I agree with that, leafpool was too scared to just own up and have the kits so she was like “HEY SIS WANT SOME CHILDREN” I know that it must have been scary but did you really have to pull ur sis into this? She could’ve been like yellowfang and done everything herself, the starclan cats still would have helped her give birth I guess. And then maybe give the kits to a queen that is already nursing, not squirrelflight who had no milk and might be suspected
You know what? Blossomfall, a ginger grey and white tortoiseshell is supposedly the daughter of two grey tabby cats, and we know at least for Greystripe, he was the son of a white cat and another grey tabby cat. That tortoiseshell gene didn't come from him, so him having a ponder over whether or not Blossomfall is related to him is valid. XD
