Except, for me, when jazz players improvise excessively it lacks groove and melody. Here they went by the book. Hence I liked it

I'm a fan of this band for two reasons: 1) they are GREAT and 2) my former student Kristel Morrison sings with them. She is the middle one of the group of three vocalists.
