Who here has seen the movie Midnight Cowboy? 🤠 “Everybody’s Talking” is the opening track of our latest acoustic album “The Duo Sessions II”. The album (and all other music & merch) is still -25% until Cyber Monday! --> www.monalisa-twins.com
I have seen the film. Great movie, great song. It wasn't Nilsson's original. But Nilsson made it famous.Your version is also good and beatiful singing!
The book I mentioned details Nilsson's involvement with the film 🎥 and the roll-out of the theme, which was a big hit 🎯 A movie match -up if there ever was one! And now, the Twins have gone Hollywood. This cover makes you "Celluloid Heroes".... with a nod to Kinks, who you cover expertly! How DO you emulate Dave's manic lead breaks?!!! The Twins are the absolute bomb 💣!!!
I like that you used the soundtrack-like guitar finger-picking opening - it suits the song better (and is my favorite of all the versions of Harry's published) in my opinion. Your harmonies certainly pay homage to Harry's multi-track work he so loved. Thank you, this is lovely.
Two amazing voices 2 acoustic guitars and incredible Harmony. Just can't beat the old soul song and feel of the Mona Lisa twins. Rivals any of the greats of my youth.
The hits keep coming! I'm still listening to "Now and Then" at least a dozen times a day and now here's "Everybody's Talking." What a great performance. Mona captures the weariness and longing of the vocals beautifully, accentuated by Lisa's lovely harmony and picking. Great to see Dad has let Mona borrow his bass for her understated and tasteful accompaniment. Really a lovely song, beautifully done.
When Nillson came out with this song, I played it over and over again. Now the MonaLisa Twins Magic has put a new spin on this beautiful song. Beautiful Ladies. You definitely know how to stir the senses deep in our soles. 💛❤️
Harmonies are absolutely heavenly! No one sings with this kind of beauty any more. Lifts my spirits so high when I hear this. I'm so glad this song is on your new album. Your new Duo Sessions II album is amazing, love every song on it.
LOVE the beautiful tone from Lisa's guitar with the aggressive capo placement! Mona's lead vocals , bass and those incredible harmonies! INSTANT FAVORITE!
Great song to lead off the Duo Sessions II album. Just the first of 14 great tracks. I love Mona's vocals and Lisa's picking and when the harmonies are so good that they make you giggle, that is something special.
Hi! You guys have some beautiful harmonies here! My father was the guy who wrote this song. a 60's artist named Fred Neil Check out his version and another one of his songs named Dolphins. I think you will like them. slainté 🍻😁😎
You really are incredibly special. And I say this for many reasons. You really love music!, your interpretations are majestic. Thank you for sharing with us music lovers all over the world. I wish you MonaLisa Twins the best and many successes. From Canada a warm greeting. Vlady
Harry did produce an excellent version of the song, made it his in a way. But Fred Neil created it and produced an excellent recorded version of his own. This is a nice version here. The more the merrier. @@toddswisher
Wow fantastic as usual especially when you hit all those high notes in the last 30 seconds Harry would be so proud of your version , cheers from Canada!
Perhaps the only thing surpasses your growing beauty is your singing- the harmonies, the chemistry you both still have together, & how you do your covers. Thank you, ladies.
Very beautiful arrangement, gorgeous singing by beautiful and very talented musicians!! I'm a new fan and an old soul . . . . I love your Live at the Cavern as well. Thankyou!! Classic Rock fan Dan from the USA
I never got to see Harry in person but I have always Loved his songs and I of course love how you Our MLTs cover this song!! Harry’s music will always be with us and I’d love for you both to bring more of his songs back to us! Thanks so much, Neal from Boston, Ma. USA :)) 🎤✨🌟💕🤩👍🌈☮️
Beautiful song, perfectly done, and what wonderful harmony - it is hard for me to come up with the right words to describe this song. I find myself just listening and letting your music take me away.
The song was written by Fred Neil. Nilsson did a great cover, in the production style of his preferred composition of his own, "I Guess The Lord Must Be in New York City".
Boy, another surprise for me today! Don't think I caught this one. I better buy volume 2 soon. Lol This song puts me watching the very Dark Midnight Cowboy movie. As a teen we had quite a few dark movies in late 60s and 70s. Like this one and Looking out for Mr Goodbar. Yes, I saw questionable movies in my early teens. Lol Loved the rendition and the chuckle. Peace. Stay safe. God Speed. Stay Groovy!🍻♥️🌹🤘
Beautifully done, you give a whole new meaning to the word "Flashbacks" thank you for taking me back to my youth again. Anyone else caught themselves looking around the house for what was making the noise from the foot tambourine at the start? 🧐
Totally beautiful. At least as good if not better than the original. What is really lovely, or I hope so, is the pleasure you appear to have of singing and playing together.
What a beautiful rendition. You ladies always excel in these simple formats. "The Duo Sessions II" has been a perfect follow up to the first Duo Sessions album.
