Just pls do your research before getting one, because they ARE a challenging breed. Be sure to fully understand what you'd be dealing with and be prepared to accept the difficulties & effort. They're awesome but NOT easy dogs... Many corgis get dumped off to shelters/rescues after impulsive owners come to understand how challenging they can be and decide they're not willing to put up with what's required for this breed! 😠😥
My daughter thought the same thing. As soon as she turned 18 she got a corgi & now I have that beautiful, silly, grumpy, ball of floof! She couldn't deal with everything that comes with having a corgi. My daughter kept her from 3 weeks & I've had her for 7yrs.
Lol have you have a corgi? I know Huskies are probably bad too, I've never had one! I have a 6 year old corgi though and can attest...shedding is WILD. I basically shed a entire large rodent's worth of hair every other day :p
@@texan903be ready to entertain them. So much energy and they want to play all the time. The puppy period is rough but my boy is 9 months and finally being a better boy and not chewing my baseboards or rug corners lol. You’ll need a trainer. And my boy has resource guarding issues especially with food despite lots of training, so that’s the only disappointment. So far the fur hasn’t been an issue. Get a robot vacuum.
They are the BEST no matter what. I just lost my 9 year old Corgi to cancer today. I am totally devastated. I cannot believe she is gone. I love her sooo much
I just lost my 13 year old corgi on 9/12/22 due to cancer. That makes 2 corgis that has been lost due to cancer. We just ate heartbroken. I'm so sorry for you losing yours. It's just not fair. 😭💔😭💔
I have to walk mine several times a day. He runs down the path and Flys back to get to our bridge. He barks at the lil mi nows and drags me ba k to the house. This is like at least a mile. Pulling g all the way. Gets in the house and I'm the one exhausted? He weighs 20 lbs??? Even the children get tired???
Huskies shed an enormous amount! This is why the best videos how to take care of shedding and all that are from husky owners. I thought my corgi shed a lot until I saw their videos! 😂
I love my corgi, she does her zooming when I get up in the morning. When she is trying to get my pomchi to play. She sheds couple times a year. I'm planning on getting another one sometime!! They are awesome dogs! She says love you, no, ouch, now, love mom! Smart dogs!!
So so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so cute doggo
" has endless energy." *Looks at my cat who slammed into my closet door because she kept doing zoomes* Edit: I would like to inform people of new things she has slammed into to due to zoomies. ( Know she is okay her turn for the brain cell sometimes gets taken for a few minutes a every hour.) Cabinets Dresser(s) Cardboard box Broom Vacuum *Me* New Edit : Welcome back to new things My cat has slammed into A mirror multiple times ( know it didn’t break its a long one so she’s just hit the back side not the actual glass) A bunny Halloween basket Basket(s) Chair(s) She is still fine and healthy though I believe they should get a lawyer due to the fact they have held the brain cell from her for more than a year now
The hair and barking at everything is so true 🤣 I still remember the time my corgi kept barking when someone in my family opens a cabinet wide open lol
So true mine doesn’t not stop running I run around the house with my corgi for a hour so she goes for water I’m like yes a break and then when she’s done she had 10x more energy
What makes you think all dogs shed and bark like crazy and herd everything? We have 2 Goldendoodles and they’re none of the above. Every breeds has different pros/cons. Hope that helps.
this is so true. they also have what my family calls little man issues where he’s mean to our german shepard’s purely because he’s the shortest of them all
I have a welsh corgi mixed with a jack russel terrier and he acts like he just drank 20 PewDiePie g fuels all the time and he sheds like no other dog I’ve seen before he could prob fill the vacuum up all the way and then about 1 quarter of the vacuum after the first round
If You have a child, they WILL herd it. Id know, I was. I was the child. Sounds hilarious but when you're a small kid, a dog chasing You is pretty spooky. Either teach the dog not to or teach the child not to run away which triggers herding behavior, because it can be a problem, specially if they bite the ankles.
They don't talk about the Corgitis either. You get just one little corgi, just a tiny one, and you suddenly go out of control and start craving for another, and another, and another...
@@anonymous-ts5ih yeah it’s all nice because she never had to take care of them,. Heck! I’d have house for all dogs I like if I had ppl taking care of them.
@@goldHydrangeas they each had a handler because of her duties and travel but if you think the Queen didn’t take care of her dogs you are mistaken. She insisted on them being with her at all times possible and if she was in residence she insisted on feeding them.
@@cindyinnew sure if you think so.. but from the 2 documentaries I saw .. they specifically says there's helpers who is charged with taking care of them and brought them over to the noe deceased Queen in the mornings or when requested, kinda showed/implied they lived separately away from her& were driven & walked over the yards to the building to former Her Majesty.
@@goldHydrangeas The coverage about her relationships with her dogs and horses can be skewed. She was def hands on with the horses and dogs until her health proved too difficult. She was also not the average person. She had a tremendously busy schedule full of travel. It’s only natural to ensure the Corgis got the stimulation and exercise they needed with handlers.
