just wanna share that its almost 3am and im burdened with a heck lot of academic works and im far from finishing it and im really very tired and about to break down but for some reason i got here and you know everybody wants to rule the world is my favorite song and just seeing all those people singing it is too much for me im literally bawling right now
Just fantastic… I notice most of the comments date back 4 yrs ago. Now that we survived COVID and it’s heartache and scarcity of connection… the sadness and sorrow of Russia and Ukraine has brought the world back into despair. Wanting to rule the world is uplifting as a song version .. I just wish it transposed out into the real world… and people could stand beside each other with joy in their heart from singing… rather than hate from taking others loved ones into early graves. Keep bringing the joy to others through song.

Wow... an amazing improvement from previous pub choir performance! My imagination run wild while watching this and I wonder WHAT IF there’s a pub choir children version?? That would be watching and listening to Angel’s voices in this world! Anyways, I hope and pray that you would grant my request (I know someone out there wishes this too!)... Don't underestimate the fact that this song in and of itself is very, very special. And complex - sung from many different points of view and frames of reference. It was not an obvious subject for joy, as it seems to be about the nuclear threat (a huge topic back in the day, but also - sadly - now). But the words refer to the great biblical event of God's victory with Joshua at Jericho "when the walls came tumbling down" The Holy Spirit was then made manifest pwerfully in music - of horns and of the human voice. And that phrase has always been associated with liberty and freedom. And at that point "I" will be right behind you - the "I" is God, the true ruler of our world... And that statement is in response to ... a prayer: "help me make the most of freedom and of pleasure"... If these people sang this in 2019, they were indeed making the most of the freedom and pleasure they had then. Lost rather since then... But God is still right behind us, and behind those who want to sing together
