If you don't already have CCW insurance, consider joining USCCA with a special offer through We Run Guns here usccapartners.com/werunguns to get started. This link provides you with EXTRA PERKS, BONUSES or DISCOUNTS for joining and a small portion goes towards supporting the channel at NO ADDITIONAL COST to you. I'm personally a paying member and joined USCCA because I believe it's a great service should you EVER be in a self-defense scenario. You'll get access to a criminal defense attorney 24/7, 365 days a year, bail covered, and criminal/civil defense costs covered up to the amount you choose when you sign up. In addition to legal protection across all 50 states/ US territories, you'll get access to training resources, legal education, and a reciprocity map with state specific gun laws. Personally, the best part I like about USCCA is that you can choose your own attorney (unlike competitors) to ensure a high quality defense should you need it.
Great EDC. I just wanted to inform you on the current CPR guidelines. I'm an EMS provider, and a firm believer in bystander CPR. Current AHA guidelines and evidence currently suggest bystanders perform chest compressions only. The use of rescue breaths decreases survival in cardiac arrest patients. Even in EMS, we will sometimes just place an 02 mask on patient. Non-stop chest compressions (not even a 5 second pause) and early AED use gives the patient a much better chance of survival (up to 30%). I would personally replace the CPR face shield with a pair of gloves.
I respectfully (strongly) disagree with you. I *had to* redo my BLS just 4 weeks ago and we are still using the 2015 guidelines as stated on my certificate off the AHA website. For both 1 rescuer and 2 rescuer Adult/Child BLS we are trained to give breathes in addition to compressions (C-A-B). AHA even explicitly recommends using a pocket mask. I highly recommend you log into your AHA account and see for yourself (especially if it's your career). The only time I have heard not to give breathes during cardiac arrest is when you don't have a barrier to protect yourself or you achieve ROSC and rescue breaths are not required.
I appreciate your opinion, and it's completely up to you (I appreciate you taking the time to learn CPR). You are correct on the BLS recommendation of 30:2 - which is best utilized (intended) with a BVM on 100% O2 and 2 people. Remember, you are only providing 21% O2 with your mouth to mask. One key principle of a well-run code is "compression fraction," which is the percentage of time chest compressions are being performed. Mouth to mask ventilations drop that percentage to around 60% compared to the optimal 90%. Stopping every 30 compressions for 3-5 seconds to provide a small amount of O2 is simply not worth it in my opinion (and the mass majority of emergency medicine professionals. Like I said, even us (experts in resucuitation) would not provide mouth to mask breaths without 100% O2 BVM. I'm not trying to argue, just inform. Thank you for being one of the few citizens to get certified! It is bystander CPR that saves live, not EMS.
Dylan Smith yeah likewise, I don’t intend to argue and I hope you don’t take my disagreement in a bad way. However, I don’t think this is a matter of opinion. Shouldn’t we be using evidenced based practice (which is best determined by AHA)? I don’t think AHA recommends giving breaths *ONLY* if you have 100% O2 available. Room air is 21% O2. Since you are exhaling and have already utilized some of the oxygen in your own lungs, you are actually delivering about 17% O2 to a victim. However, AHA deems that 17% important enough to ask you to get off the chest after 30 compressions and oxygenate the victim. Your blood will only remain oxygenated for so long. Eventually you are just circulating deoxygenated blood with compressions. Of course if you have 100% oxygen available then use it when delivering breaths, but if you don’t have it, delivering breathes would be optimal for the victim. I really think you should follow AHA recommendations. I wouldn’t have taken the time to write all this if I didn’t think it could save lives. Thanks for what you do.
Some constructive criticism for you: Don't ever recommend pepper spray as it only pisses of the other guy and will also effect you. Unless you're carrying pepper spray for defense against stray dogs and other animals then just don't. Trust me, I've been pepper sprayed and tased before and it's not nearly as effect as you would think. Tasers at most will incapacitate someone for a few seconds, pepper spray at most will make someone get watery eyed and cough more than usual. Hope this helps. Keep up the good content.
Check out a Colonel Blade for a fixed blade self defense knife. I’ve been carrying one for over a year and it’s super nice knife and comfortable for me. I carry it appendix when I can’t carry a firearm.
Hey, (IMHO) I wouldn't have any other type of watch than a "Casio Pathfinder", these being the first two requirements: Sun recharging system, and lastly the auto recalibration (world wide, and multiple times daily)! It has MANY other functions - have ya tried one of these?? Worth the $$! Again (IMHO), a watch needs to do "waaaay more" than just tell time. For me, the full metal band modles make those a bit too heavy and chunky!! But, at least you're on the right track - can't go wrong w/any of those...! Take care, "God Bless",sincerely Randy. 👍👍🎄🎉🙏😇👊
The H1 steel on the salt uses Hydrogen instead of Carbon in the steel so they literally can't rust it dosnt have the properties to rust. So there are always 100% rust proof
You mention tactical use with your knife so assume you have had training. Where did you go to training at? I am trying to find someplace that offers training for offensive and defensive knife
i have a purse :).... i actually love it when a guy carries a wallet in the back pocket hehehe, do you find that your wallet fades or wears out your back pocket?
The Glock 26 would get 2 more rounds of capacity but it's the same width as my Glock 19. For my subcompact purchase I wanted something more slim. The Sig P365 would be the perfect carry gun for this niche if it didn't have those reliability issues. Once that get that fixed, you can count me in.
We Run Guns oh I agree once they fix certain issues with the P365 I’m def in myself. Thinking about getting one anyway but yeah waiting. I hear ya w the 26 as I carry both my 19 and my 26 but to me the extra rounds are worth it but I do think I’ll be getting a 43 aswell
theoopla That’s a great idea except my gun would probably have to be a HiPoint pistol for $120. I’m sure I’ll buy one in the future so I’ll make the vid then.
@@werunguns Yes, I understand it would be a challenge and a whole bunch of compromises to get it down to the budget. Probably the biggest compromise, after the firearm, would be the daily phone one carries. I just know that if I were to get the ~$3500 of gear here, that would be blowing up my savings plan due diligence. :)
Get a counterfeit Rolex for "show" on public transportation and engrave "Asshole" on the back. Good to keep your wallet out of the "sucker" right rear pocket. That's where the Rolex thieves look first.
Didn’t see a multi tool. At least add a Leatherman Micra or PS4 to your keys. Also recommend the Skeletool, Juice s2 for EDC. Usually carry a Skeletool and Micra combo. All the tools needed to get through the day and the Skeletool is good enough to replace a primary blade. Especially if you get the CX which is carbon fiber, and 154cm plain edge. Leatherman makes wicked blades. You’ll be very impressed. Run that combo with an Olight l1R EOS rechargeable light. That’s my everyday lightweight combo.
Thanks for the info. I have a Leatherman Wave, but it usually just stays in my range bag which is why I didn't feature it. However, this week I'm up in the mountains and it's in the EDC rotation for sure (had to cut a smaller tree with it today).
Thanks for your concern, but it's my actual EDC. It goes in my pockets and out. I never said I drag it through the mountains of Iraq or anything. Anyways, thanks for watching
