Great idea. But I would take half or even 1/4 the liquid detergent and dilute it in the bottle. The fragrance and detergent would be still work the same and this way you can stretch the use of the product..,esp today as prices for detergents are rising!

I saw a SIMULAR VIDEO Only the girl use a large thin water bottle and filled it with equal parts of FLOOR CLEANER AND BLEACH TO KEEP THE 🚽CLEAN AND LIQUID LAUNDRY SOFTNER FOR A NICE SMELL She removed the lid and set the bottle in the toilet tank letting air into the bottle so it will continue to release the liquid mixture And she made three small holes

I clean my toilet after every use but I've done this with toilet cleaner exactly the same method and I weight it down with a few marble pebbles that just fit in the top opening

I love Fabuloso but I worried about ruining the tank works, so I just add a few drops on a paper towel or wadded tissue and drop it in the bathroom trash bin.

I put pine sol or whatever I want at the time on a maxi pad and stick it in the bottom of my trash cans. Can use any size pads each pads last well after few bag changes

Nice idea, but I would try to strap the bottle somehow. When we flush the toilet, the bottle moves around and gets out of place, sometimes disturbing the flapper or tubes.

I've tried this but it doesn't work, because there are holes in the bottom of the bottle and the water doesn't come out while the bottle is floating in the water tank. Water can come out of the bottle only when the tank is empty but I think the period of flushing and filling the water tank is a few seconds or 1 minute.

Yes, many toilets were damaged by doing this and plumbers recommend not doing it.

We do not have these toilets anymore in the Netherlands. The waterreservoirs are all behind walls.

Ok but in california we have water regulation. So my toilet bowl tank ..is going to release less water in my acrual toilet bowl. Bc my tank is going to think it's more fulled bc of the space the fabulouso cleaner bottle takes up.

This will degrade the toilet guts in the tank over time. So if you don't mind replacing them, go for it. There are other ways of keeping your bathroom smelling good. Regular cleaning is one of them.

I've done this for years, my bathrooms are spotless and I live in a 121 year old barn. Never replaced the guts as well.

Maybe need to put a small hole at the top, middle and down so that if water 💦 comes down and up the liquid inside pet bottle will comes out 🥰🥰🥰 I will do this thank you😘

No this isn't good at all. Should only be water in the cistern. Chemicals can destroy inner components. Also if you have septic tank this could be a disaster. Also it's going to reduce the amount of water that flushes. Plumbers will tell you that's why they have to replace so many.

I did mesh bag using Irish Spring bar soap, but still have no fresh smell--keeps toilet clean though, just using toilet brush every day or so

Just know that any time you put any kind of cleaner in the tank, the manufacturer's warranty is void at that point.

@@pauldeanda4985 it matters though right, if you have a brand new toilet you only have it installed for a couple of weeks and you put a cleaner in it and something internally goes wrong with the toilet you go back to where you bought it if they send somebody to your home to check it out and they realize that there's cleaners inside it, the manufacturer will not help you out. I've seen it many times I'm a licensed plumber in California and I see it all the time

it does not overflow because it does not have time because of the small hole made with a water, it does not give it time to equalize the level between the liquid in the bottle and the tank

Wouldn’t cleaning the tank & maybe a few drops of essential oil be a slightly safer bet? By all means, do whatever you want to your toilets, I’m just asking if it’s just a matter of your toilet smelling better, then wouldn’t essential oil yield results?

no, the bottle occupies 1.5 l, so you would save 1.5l for each cistern

Let me tell you what happened next. The state health inspector shows up. They talk to Skip. He says he's got a sump pump problem. They leave.The guy's got a sewer problem. Only Skip didn't count on there being a big heat wave that summer. You know what all those people were smelling on Elm, whew weeeee. Skip's family's bodies, decomposing in the summer heat. Apparently, one day Skip made one-too- many lemon phosphates. El snappo.
