Thank you, @darthlaurel, for your kind words! I always aim to keep it real because, from my experience as a professional cleaner, I've dealt with some serious dirt-much worse than what I show here. My goal is to inspire others to transform their spaces and remind them that it's completely doable!😊
@@TheCleanLoft That's why I subbed. Even I can clean a clean toilet!!! But you make me understand how I need to stop being lame about my dirty toilets and just get in there and clean it!!!
My grandmother was a maid for decades. These things were tiny things taught to me at a young age. However, I'm aware that so many people today have no clue about them. Thank you for sharing. 👍🏿💯
I’ve been professionally cleaning for around 5 years, and you showed me things I didn’t know or think of. Thank you! I will be using a couple of these tips on the houses I clean tomorrow.😊
Thank you for this. It’s 1:30am in the morning, and I went up to check one of the toilet seats, found it does remove as you said, and have just cleaned the toilet seat in the shower. I’ll be very tired this morning, but the toilet will be sparkling, thanks to you. 😊
I just cleaned two toilets. I did not realize the seat just slid off the black latches, thinking I needed to deal with the screws. Thank you thank you thank you!!! Huge difference!
I’m so glad you found that tip helpful! It really does make a huge difference when you know the seat just slides off the black latches instead of dealing with the screws. It saves so much time and effort. Happy cleaning, and thanks for sharing your experience! 😊
@@helenewebster9462 Thank you for tuning in to Part 1 of this series. Part 2 is now live check it out here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XIac9cwyTkk.html.
I get a lot of comments that I am too picky about my cleaning but see there I dont make any of these mistakes 😊 thanks for the video that you showed it honest and real 🥰
If your toilet seat doesn't have an "easy clean" feature, I recommend buying one that does. (Any place I lived that didn't have easy clean seats, I immediately replaced them. Including apartments.) They can be less than $15 & often don't require any tools to install. If you've got a little extra money, get a soft closing toilet seat. It's worth it!
That's a fantastic tip! Easy-clean toilet seats really do make maintenance much simpler, and investing in a soft-closing seat adds extra convenience and comfort. Thank you for sharing your experience and this valuable advice-it's definitely worth considering! 😊
Thank you, I have been trying to get people in my house to understand that you need to dust the dirt off before spraying cleaners, let alone just spraing cleaners isnt cleaning it if you donr wipe it up.
#4 took me YEARS to figure out. Embarrassing. But such a relief once I bought new toilet seat covers and cleaned under the hinges. Such a big difference.
Thank you!!! My stepson (I don’t live there but own the house) is a slob. Dusting surfaces before wetting them is one of the best tips ever. Otherwise, the dust and dirt turn to germ-laden mud. The main problem I have cleaning toilets is getting down to the side closest to the wall. I’m 69, not that nimble. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
keep a long handled bath brush or similar specially for that area.. Scrub then elastic band a micro cloth round the brush (rinse brush well before) You can then rinse.
I'm glad you found the tip helpful! I hear you, cleaning can be quite a task, especially with hard-to-reach spots. For the side of the toilet, I suggest using a bath scrunch with a handle or a small broom. If you're in the US, you can get these at Dollar Tree or Walmart. Wrap a microfiber cloth or strong paper towel around the tool and secure it with a rubber band then spray and clean. To dust you can also use the same tools but with dry cloth and you can also use a swiffer duster. This way, you can clean without bending.
I have the same problem of not being able to reach. Don't know if you shop on Temu or not but found the perfect scrubber on there. Very similar to a body scrubber with a long handle. You can copy/paste the product name: 1pc Long Handle Sponge Cleaning Brush for Tile, Bathtub, and Pool - Efficient Bathroom Cleaning Tool with Durable Material bathroom accessories
I've watched loads of these cleaning videos and your is the FIRST where i felt that the poster knew thfir job and ehat they were taking about. Great video
Great video but have an aversion to toilet brushes. I use toilet roll if staining the toilet after going to get rid of stain and wash hands thoroughly😂❤

I'm gonna send this video to my kids .they clean their own bathrooms ..dontbworry they started cleaning their own bathrooms since their teenage years .
I've done tip #1,#2, and # 5 for years. We had an old fashioned toilet that didn't pop out, but we bought a modern toilet recently and also do tip #4 😁
Part 2 please 🙏🏻, the walls around the toilet get filthy. I lived with 2boys and a husband in the same house for 12 years and I had no idea that the walls could ever be an issue.
I agree that area gets dirty easily as well, I can relate. Part 2 and 3 is live now check it out here ru-vid.com/group/PLL4fHuQl0PWL15ANGkaGAbNjyRas0EPiV&si=PzuyDwdhYIVY5Q4g.Thank you for tuning in.😊
Hello Mama Tendy, Thank you for this video. I am constantly cleaning the toilet as I am a caregiver for my mom. Also, I live here with her and my brother. Is there any way to cut the urine smell? I have yet to purchase an enzyme cleaner. Any hacks for the mean time in-between weekly deep bathroom cleaning to keep the odor under control?
I use shaving cream that I got at the Dollar Tree store. To use shaving cream to remove a urine smell, apply a generous amount of foam shaving cream directly to the affected area, let it sit for a few minutes to absorb the odor, then wipe it clean with a damp cloth; for stubborn smells, you can repeat the process or even slightly scrub the area before wiping. Also, I now trained my husband to sit on the bowel when urinating. Standing up while urinating sprays it all over the walls & floor. My bathroom no longer smells of urine. Big game changer.
Another good tip if you are buying a new toilet: go for a one-piece toilet instead of a two-piece. Two-piece toilets are your typical toilet and consist of a separate tank and bowl. They are usually cheaper to purchase than one-piece toilets and definitely easier to install (because you can install the bowl and tank separately). One-piece toilets consist of the entire toilet (tank and bowl) all connected to each other in one piece. They are harder to install because the full toilet is much heavier and bulkier than just the bowl. So they can be difficult to install in smaller bathrooms. But if you can get a one-piece toilet installed, you will never have to wonder about all the mysterious gunk that builds up in that gap between the toilet and the tank because there is no gap to deal with. So if you are super fastidious about toilet cleaning, a one-piece toilet will make cleaning much easier and more thorough.
Dedicate one evening per week as a cleaning day. Inch by inch everything is a cinch and please...please clean underneath the outside of the bowl. Pet peeve when I visit people's homes😅
Thank you for the great tips! You’re absolutely right. During my time cleaning houses, I noticed that this area was often overlooked, even though it’s so important to keep it clean-especially since it’s highly visible. This tip is a valuable reminder. 😊
