ugh if Nina had stayed the writers said they would have had them get back together. I always thought Stelena made more sense (they were endgame in the books!) and that Damon should have ended up with Bonnie (also in the books they were endgame too)
@@zabianwar5776 that was when the show was first airing. the writers didn’t think the show was going to go on for as long as it did. since the show ended both julie and kevin have said they wanted to bring stelena back together but nina leaving sealed the deal for delena endgame. also think about how all the characters ship stelena. I think that was always the writers way of saying who they prefer
I never liked Steroline. Stefan just always seemed in love with Elena while Caroline adored him. The chemistry always felt like unrequited love and situational. Stefan and Elena (and the actors who played them) just always had that cosmic level chemistry. Damon and Elena were sexy, but it never felt like love, but obsession/lust.
i think even tho she had feelings for stefan she still wanted her bestfriend to be in a happy and healthy relationship. thats why she was both jealous of and happy for stelena
She probably was envious because she wanted to have something like that too, but at the same time she just wanted her best friend to be happy with a man that actually treated her well. I call it true friendship.
If you really think about it, would you want an aunt like that? I mean seriously. Elena ended up dying bc she was in an environment with zero boundaries or restrictions and hung out with the wrong people. Jeremy was doing drugs and skipping school and could've easily overdosed after whatever her name is died. If not for Damon. Jenna could've easily prevented all of that, but no. She's cool in a fictional sense, and I guess if you have strict parents or whatever she seems incredible, but she's a fucking awful guardian
Stelena was definitely supposed to be together....Like there's just WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY to much chemistry between those two.......Listen I know Delena had that too but honestly no matter how passionate or heaty it was between them, it could never surpass what Stelena had....even when they use to JUST talk like friends, it literally felt like they were flirting.....I mean c'mon, the reason why everyone constantly suspected these two of getting back together again, was because of how strong their chemistry and connection was, it was so strong even the characters noticed it. Even after the break up, these two understood each other the best.
I read somewhere that stelena was supposed to be endgame, if Nina hadn't left. I just think it's so funny how Caroline got jealous of Elena being with Stefan 🤣 Caroline came on too strong in my opinion.
They knew from the first season that Nina did not want to stay for more than six seasons. They used Nina's departure from the show as an excuse. When Stefan disappeared Nina had bad dreams and a feeling that something was wrong with him. When he had amnesia and she tried to help him regain his memory she was still attracted to him and they almost kissed. She could have easily realized that her heart belong to him and Damon was just a lust created from the sired bond. It makes more sense, and it would teach Damon a lesson for trying to still his brother's girlfriend.
can tell she always enjoyed it more with paul. her career is in acting, and you want to be able to do things to the best of your abilities. when she was with stefan, tvd had the best storylines. most eventful things were happening. it was so dramatic. so entertaining. at the end of the day, it's all acting. playing a role. reading off a script. feelings aside, to them, they're not even in a relationship (stefan and elena). they're just acting. she had to have really really enjoyed filming those first few seasons 2 coz it was a 9/10. moving on.... while everything was happening from season 2 to 5, she was in an irl relationship with ian, and broke up with him before season 6. not only did she have to go through a break up, but she was still with damon on the show after they broke up. and any ''chemistry'' you think you're seeing between delena, just remember, it's a show. it's all acting. I'm not being a hater. if you look at the 3 things. acting with paul. acting with ian. friends with paul. broke up with ian. season 1 2 and 3 being really good. season 4 5 and 6 not being so good. which 3 would you pick. well, it obviously has to be season 1 2 and 3. that puts acting in stefan into the second slot. and to finish it off, i think a friends is >>> someone you broke up with 😭no? come on, stelena wins. paul and nina are the one!! in an interview, she refused to say if she shipped delena or stelena we all know there are so many delena fans coz of the irl relationship, but i have a feeling she shipped stelena and couldn't reveal it as it'd break so many peoples hearts even more than their irl break up already did coz lets be real, how many stelena fans do you see around. there are a lot of us now, but you don't see us in numbers on social media. obviously even if she did ship delena, she wouldn't wanna break stelena hearts. but the whole point of this essay was to explain why i think she liked paul/stelena more all the awards she won with ian were fan voted 😭if everything was genuine, explain their break up irl. where's the chemistry in that?
They broke up irl because Ian is not Damon. He has his face and his body, but not that awful charming personality, none of the style, none of the wittiness. He wears a fedora for fucks sake. Fans like Ian as Damon, and I'm sure to some degree, so did Nina.
I've always preferred Stelena to Delena. I think Stefan and Elena were more compatible as people. They had the same values and goals. Damon is a toxic character, and he was never good for Elena. I didn't understand why Julie Plec wanted to destroy their relationship. It was a mistake. Stelena was the best couple in the series.

the fact dat if nina hadnt left , team stelena would be end game(just like in the books) and there wouldve been like 11 or 12 seasons especially what hapened between nina and ian but nina left exactly cuz of dat so steroline was practically a back up
Ok I stopped watching TVD past season 4 cuz it became all about Delena but I have seen odd clips here and there. But to me it looks like Elena flirted a lot with Stefan when she wasn’t with Damon. Can someone tell me if that’s the case through the rest of the show. Also I know about the doppelgängers and Silas and Amara
@@gweters I have to say I kind of liked the idea of the doppelgängers being created like that, and that they were drawn to each other, but didn’t necessarily meet or were even soulmates. (But then I guess later there was even more retconning about them being drawn together only because of a spell that tricked them? Anyway uh there’s probably even more after that but I didn’t see it lol.)
I do wonder when Alaric compelled Elena to forget she loved Damon, what reason did he give Elena for why her and Stefan broke up when Damon was the reason. 🤔
