@manofmann8901 Star Trek: Enterprise. Mostly today's tech. Star Trek original.. the next social and evolutionary technological step. That weird mushroom series is just before I think. Next Generation is a refined futuristic tech. Voyager, totally about social complications due to isolation. Deep Space Nine is the best ever rendition of space nazis ever without being cringe about it. Picard is what happens after Next Generation and I haven't watched it yet. We get to see both technological evolutions and social evolution in many ways.

to be fair the self deprecation is more than likely and realistic. while this story is nice and all it stays is big contrast to human nature let alone all other aspects.

Words, language, and meanings do change over time.

The transcript is probably a voice to text transcript that wasn’t proofread. I used to do medical transcription that was becoming checking the voice to text. Lots of homonym errors. Some of the errors were hilarious. The voice recognition has to be trained to each dictator.

This is most likely a computer generated text to voice and then a computer generated subtitles…

R is generally used as repair today. F’ed Up Beyond All Repair, as in the situation is lost and can’t be repaired.

It’s Jim Breuer’s “Goat Boy” from SNL,… when it was still funny in my opinion.

There is a sci-fi rts game like it…kinda. I don’t remember the name of the game though I just remember earth is hiding behind a shield while surrounded by multiple alien races trying to kill us and the last earth fleet that was supposed to be lost made it back from deep space after there drives failed, or something like that. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen or played it. I just know you have to fight your way home to rescue earth.

There's a thousand pieces of self loathing for every piece like this. I'm sure all those will make up the few stories that are like this.

The thing with real aliens is that there is no way of understanding an aliens thought process or an alien race understanding ours because in the end we would be completely different. Could a sentient fungus know what cringe is?😂
