When I first moved to Austin in 1990, "The Apple Store" would have been some place on Burnet Road, next to that place that only sells light bulbs, and would have just sold apples. Actual apples.

As someone who’s lived in Austin off and on since 1978, cumulatively 35 years, I find this is hysterical. Anyone who’s been in Austin any length of time refers to the Domain as South Dallas for being so out of place in Austin and plastic, like Dallas. Great compilation of Gen Vapid. 🤣

Well he did get it right that the "The Whip In " is a cool, under-the-radar watering hole--as it relates to tourists,. that is. No mention of the bats, The Drag, or Barton Springs.
