I've been wondering about the way they call him. Is it really the endearing way to add -ie on his name? I think someone said that it's just the way to form the sentence(i can't remember exactly what he meant). but I rarely see other idols have -ie added to their name. Idk if I'm making any sense 😅
@@sevenhundreddollars5989 -ie (이) is a particle, added to the end of words to mark that they're the subject of a sentence. But its usually dropped in speech (especially informal speech). It does also mark endearment, especially if they're directly calling him 'taeminie'.
When Taemin was a baby he accepted the treatment although he didn’t like it. When he was a teenager he hated it. And now as an adult hes use to it lmao

You can get little glimpse of it like when he talked about not wanting to be leader of SuperM because he’s grown up as a maknae. I took that as him admitting that he’s use to be taken care of as maknae and that it would be hard for him to be in a role where he had to take care of others. Or when he was on We Got Married and very much had to have things done his way and his occasional funny tantrums when things don’t go his way lmao or when he locked jonghyun in a room with him until he got the song he wanted from him lol over the 13 years I’ve watched him I’ve seen these little habits grow
But at the same time Taemin is such a good hyung he knows how to take care of the younger idols and I feel like because he was so much cared ( and still is ) for now he knows how to do it as well

Yes, Taeminnie is still seen as the baby of SM, even though there have literally dozens of idols younger than he is. His SHINee hyungs, and staff members dote on him, as a result. But Taemin is a grown man, and I am sure he is more than capable of speaking up, if he truly was uncomfortable.

Okay, for the baby Shawols (or non-fans) who might watch and get confused or think it's weird for a 27 y.o to be treated as a baby, no. If you've watched anything else than his performances and had seen his interactions with his hyungs, you will know why it's not weird and why he is actually a baby. Taemin has always been treated as SM's maknae/baby by everyone, including Lee Sooman (who, can we all agree has obviously a soft spot for SHINee) ever since SHINee debuted, and even after the newer SM groups that debuted with members who are younger than him, he was still considered as the company's maknae. And because SHINee were known ever since their debut and had this new refreshing and youthful concept (you know, with them being young boys and a song targeted towards older girls and their reality Yunhanam and stuff xD) he pretty much became the maknae of the whole kpop industry and was pampered by everyone. That's why until today he is still labeled as a baby by everyone because those same people had watched him grow up for over 10 years. And also because after more than 10 years he still gets awkward and flustered when nervous and is still a little brat towards his hyungs, especially Kibum.
I also want to add that he was only 14 when he debuted so he was one of the youngest ever to debut at the time, beat only by BoA. They purposely gave him a bowl cut too only seen on toddlers lol. So I think people were naturally protective of a child in a very ugly and competitive industry. As a noona fan, he’ll always be our precious baby.
Exactly. I've been in kpop since their debut days and i can tell that taemin is once (probably until now) considered as the whole kpop maknae. Not only to shinee. Idk if others understand. You just have to live at that moment to know it. 😂
I think Taemin likes being babied cause he can still act immature lol. Being 27 in the kpop industry usually means you’re like a decade old older than the rookies, an actual adult. He might be considered a senior artist but I’m glad he is surrounded with people who love him and allow him to still be childish. I remember he also used to hate his feminine appearance but I’m glad he’s embraced it now.
All of these clips are super cute, but nothing compares to that Amazing Saturday episode where not only everyone kept giving him hints but the other guy on purpose said the wrong answer and for Taemin to so casually go edit it out. That is peak he is the whole industry’s baby, we just want to see him win.
I think he'll always be our Taeminie coz we saw him grow up. Like how a parent would feel like about their kids. They'll always be your little baby. I feel like I'm gonna feel the same for Jisung of NCT Dream. Even though they get older, I'll still think of them as babies.

I think the Sm staff and idols especially the older ones, treat him like a baby because he was so young when he debuted and they took care of him a lot, so even though he now is almost 30, they still think of him as that young kid from all those years ago. It's like how I treat my 6 years younger baby brother still like a baby, and help him out with everything but he's 20 now lol

I am a new Shawol and when I first saw Shinee my first impression of him was how much he was like a cute little baby then I realized everybody saw him like that 🤭 I was even more shocked when I realised I was only a few months older than him. I, in a way, "grew up" with SHINee by being a fan of them since 2009 and I feel like he's still a baby while also being aware that he's a grown man in late 20's 😂 I have this kind of maternal instinct towards him despite only being 2 years older 😂 he just really has that aura around him.
