Yeah we can know it, it’s really hard to tell until you feel it. People can think that this is just a stupid motivation to feel bad, and they are right, it is. But somehow for many it kicks too hard, hard depression from hair loss is real, the social anxiety is tremendous. I didnt even know what was social anxiety until i shaved my bolding head at the age of 23

someone asked me the other day, which person affected your life a lot recently or in general? could be someone familiar or a complete stranger. And of course I thought about family or friends. But then I thought. No man its Harry from Baldcafe. That dude helped me soo much in a difficult time. I'm 29 and have been going bald since 24... My dad was already bald by then. I shaved my head after the first time someone commented on my receding hairline, but without a beard or muscles, I felt naked. I started hiding it by the way I did my hair and my haircut. My mom was a barber too, and after she passed around that time my hair became sort of a reminder of her too, making it extra dificult to go on with shaving. Last months I started noticing the crown on my head becoming so thin it looked like a bald spot everytime I went into the supermarket and saw myself on the security camera and the front peak was so thin... I got really self conscious, didn't want to sit in front of people and got depressed as hell. I pulled the trigger yesturday and I'm never going back. I'm free!! Thank you for all you do!

I've never been afraid of growing bald purely because my uncle and grandfather have rocked that look my entire life. My dad still has his hair but there's a 50/50 chance I might go bald and I feel like it is leaning that way, but reeeeeeally slowly. Sure it might be a small knock to my confidence, but as long as I keep the rest of my body looking good I'll probably be fine!

Hey man, I just wanted to say thank you, because you have definitely saved some lives. It isn't easy for men that lose their hair, it hits your confidence really hard. I am a rare case where I am not genetically predisposed to balding, but I am bald due to my illness. In my family, from both sides, they have good hair (almost no start of balding until late 30s - early 40s). I had basically Jamie Lanister hair (season 1, but black), it was my best feature and I knew that for most of my life I won't need to worry about my balding. A few years ago, when I was 21, I was under a lot of stress and got very ill. I developed heavy insomnia and due to no sleep I developed a few autoimmune disease (and one of them was psoriasis). Psoriasis basically wrecked my hair for 2 years (I have no idea how I even have the amount of hair that I have now) because for 2 years my head was basically bleeding from scars, dead skin and scratches. For 2-3 years I am either rocking the bald look or heavy buzcut or really high fade and 3-4mm on top. Even if loosing my hair didn't hit me that hard, I just wanted to say thank you for all the people that you saved, because I know how some men feel when they see their hair go away.

lost most of mine at the front at 24 but realised you just have to get on with it. I keep mine short but not shaven and I'm happy with the fact that it looks fine. If people are worried to death over this then I'd recommend just shaving it all off to see and I bet you'll get used to that it looks better than you'd thought it would. At the very least a totally shaven head is quite acceptable seeing so many do that and then you can get on with your life. Don't allow this to ruin your lives

I used to have my hair cut once a week 2 if I could afford it and my hair was everything, I started shaving it grade 4 then down each time, now I wish I was completely bold so I didn’t have to shave it, funny how things change

Good head shape so bald is the right look... get minoxidil, put in spray bottle, spray on hand and wipe on face to thicken up facial hair if you want a beard. works better on a beard than on balding hair.

I balded at 22, shaved my head at 28, then grew my hair, i got big curls but its party on the back, business on the front. But i dont give a fuck, iam a metalhead and wear motorjackets. cowboybootsand live a rough life so nobody minds i look like a skelleton with hair. Also wanna tattoo my scalp, think it will look really great with the rest of my drip. Best of all, iam married with my soulmate so it does not matter one fuck, let it grow, let it flow... iam gonna make it look good!

Why didn't he do anything about it as soon as his mates pointed it out? Why just hope it will fix itself? It's seem to be the common theme here. 1. It gets noticed early 2. Stay in denial for 5-10 years and do nothing about it other then to maybe change schampoo or take some ineffective vitamin pills. 3. When it has progressed to far, shave it off . So what can we learn from this? Take action immediately, jump on Minoxidil, Fin and everything else. Give it your best and fight for your hair, and if that doesn't work, then you can give up and shave it off.

Shaving it off is only seen as “giving up” in the context of those who try to regrow or permanently stop their hair loss. Deciding it shave it is accepting the natural path that nature intended. It’s accepting and moving on. It’s accepting reality dare I say it. I think this way of thinking though can only be understood by those who are seeking or have arrived at acceptance and are no longer insecure over going bald.

If you have a big head, you have a big head regardless of your hair style, cutting it back is likely just causing you to notice it because you made your head look different I think Patrick Stewart has an odd shaped head, but others say he has the perfect bald head. It's all relative and you're probably looking for a reason not to like it. The only times I truely think soneone should not shave their head if if they have deep skin folds over the surface of their scalp where you can't get into the folds to shave. It can give the impression of a brain. If that's the situation and you're losing your hair I would suggest having the hair removed by laser.

Really funny, i have the same hair, ive always had big curls like jim morrison but around 22 i became thinner and thinner.. but after i shaved it all off i deceided to let it just grow, ala RICK RUBIN, and i dont regret it one bit, i will forever have thick curls in the back and sides, i dont care getting bald, iam a man, iam aging, iam 37, i dont care, i got a hot waifu, good job, i donttt caaarrrrreeee.

Personally my hair isnt completely patch and thin yet but it still effects my confidence so much and the routine of trying to hide it 24/7 just becomes so tiresome. So although a lot of people think it looked fine it's the mental side of it that's the worst part personally. I definitely think he rocks the bald look a lot better and I'm sure he's mentally so much more healthier now!

Comb over till you can no longer comb over. Till the last strand keep growing it. That's my opinion anyway there's no fun in having a shiny bald head. Worse is when there's 2 of you together. You draw even more attention to yourselves. Wear a cap. Always keep spare one in case wind blows it off. Or 1 of your mates decide to grab it and run off.

can i ask. Do u know how much 1 tablet of finasterde cost? I'm a student so I'm trying to figure out how much it is because I know taking finasteride is a lifetime commitment.
