I love this technique, because you can use this concept for similar situations. For defending and countering punches and for countering knifes, love this technique to turn over the attacker. It's useful and fun to exercise :)
I live in the Rockies not far from Calgary, you can be sure my girls will be learning how to fight from Kevin. It’s mandatory in this crazy world we live in.
@@BudoBrothers my twin daughters are only 8months old so we will have to wait a little while before they can start group classes with other kids obviously lol. But I myself did 9 years of Judo in my younger years and was thinking about taking a private class with Kevin to get back into martial arts. At what age do you guys consider it to be appropriate for the girls to start private classes with Kevin either with me (all 3 of us at the same time) or alone with him ? I would love for them to start getting into it earlier than the 6yo that Kevin has on his website for kids groups classes (even if it’s only for them to start developing their reflexes, flexibility, proper mindset, etc..)
Yea it’s a crazy world but it’s sad but the truth is usually self defense class or fighting class really doesn’t help a girl defend themself against a bigger stronger man
@@akeno7698 well I know for a fact from personal experience that’s not true, at least not in most cases. If you have a 4’10’’ 90lbs women vs a 7’ 350 lbs men, major limitations apply obviously, but knowing how to fight still makes a difference, even if only in terms of mindset and situational awareness.
I usually don't agree with this guy's videos, but this one is legit. He traps the foot and then controls the arm so the nage can't catch himself when you roll him over. Good vid
A few years ago I took both of my boys to physical therapy they are special needs I had one boy in each hand a big tall man was getting closer and closer I put both my children in front of me I thought he was trying to take one as I was doing that he picked me up from my back pack and started body slamming me he ripped off my back pack as soon as it ripped he ran and I ran to get my boy's as they were just looking at me and ran into a health food store this guy who works there very buff and fit went out to find him I called the police I am still scared to go out with my boy's alone I also want to say thank you to that young man for making me stay in the store and gave us snacks
Learn some of these techniques to protect yourself and your boys. I truly hope you and your son's are able to get away from that situation or area soon.
And if they are postured up or upright you can pull them down or give them a little hump to throw them off balance and pull down on them. You can hug them tight to your body if they’re not trying to grapple but let’s say they’re trying to strike or put their hands down on the ground. If their hands are on the ground supporting their way a simple sweep will get the job done then trap the leg and roll

Every time I see these guys I’m wondering about those unfair proportions. Black shirt guy is an estimated two times the size :D but props for partners motivation to beat him anyway ;)
