Everyone should have an Epi Pen if you are allergic to something. It can get worster over time and next time it goes into that severe allergic shock...it' scary as hell (speaking about own experiences atleast my doctor had some skills and gave me it in case due to my allergy's and he was so right to make that choice..one week later...I need it to the most and it saved me also the amabuclane arrive so quickly for the next needed steps and medications like an second shoot of adrenline etc..saved me) and you just need that Epi Pen at that serious moment. Please, always have it with you and stay safe!
My sons father is severely allergic to Yellowjackets and our son has moderate allergies already so I ask his doctor if she could write a prescription for an EpiPen just in case. She said no that they don’t write EpiPen prophylactically, Which in my opinion it’s not because there are already indications for allergies and a family history of anaphylactic shock and allergic reactions are always changing and can happen even if you’ve never been allergic to something before. Just crazy.
hi there. Okay so I am severely allergic to wheat and I will go into anaphylactic shock but after a few dinning experiences I have developed false reactions this happens when I am told that this food is safe I will still feel as though I am having a reaction . So tonight I had a bad false reaction it lasted 3 hours I ate some pizza and started to have chest pains the my throat felt funny so I got up and began to treat it as though it was real I drank milk to coat my esophagus and stomach then it climaxed at 6pm and by 8pm it was all done. Mom was so helpful she read the ingrediance out loud, and just talked to me. update at ten pm i found my thighs, scalp and hips were covered in hives but did not treat them till i was ready for bed because it makes me so sleepy. Finaly i took benadrill and as usual was asleep within secoonds.
Sophie Palmer-Doran I obviously don’t know whether this is the case for you or not but bear in mind that thing can so easily get cross contaminated even if they don’t contain what you are allergic to. People who prepare food, including restaurants, often only think about if they actually put an ingredient in the dish, not realising that it’s still not safe for you if it was fried in the same oil, touched by the same utensils, or put on the same surface as an item containing the ingredient you react to. Also a lot of people don’t take allergies seriously because they think it means we might get a rash or a tummy ache and only if we eat a lot of the thing we are allergic to, so they think it’s ok to lie to us, they don’t realise that, for some of us, the slightest trace could actually kill us! Because of this I would always take symptoms of a reaction seriously even if you don’t think you came into contact with your trigger. I was told that it’s always better to be on the safe side and take your epi pen and antihistamines in case. They won’t do anything bad if you didn’t need them but the results of not taking them if you did need them could be serious.
They're so wrong for letting that baby die like that 😔😒😒😒 I wasn't allergic to nuts until I got put on a new medication last month , and now my doctor won't see me to even give me an Epi pen or anything because my insurance isn't on until December . Hope I don't come into contact with nuts before then
