Love this lens! Sometimes i do wish it had a larger zoom range though. Thinking about going full frame with a 24-70mm as it would give an almost identical look but with more versatility
I can’t agree more. I got it when I bought my used XT4 with Fringer II. It’s a super combo, and it has character. I like the Art 50 too (for portraits and events) and the XF 50-140 on XT4. Not that excited by XF 10-24… If I had to keep only one lens it would be this 18-35 Art ❤.
Excellent sample footage of what this amazing lens can do! And with the Fringer adapter we Fuji X users have a real work horse of a lens. Easily one of the best purchases one can make. Keep the videos coming!
Yeah, it's a legend. Used it for 5 years now. However, I would love if Sigma made an updated version of this lens for mirorless mounts with modern autofocus motors. I use it kn both my zcam s6 and my lmix s5ii, and on the latter autofocus is surprisingly OK but the focus motors are quite noisy.
Agreed. I have one with the Fringer III, but I have heard Sigma are working on the 18-35 natively for MILC. But man have they been dragging their feet on this!
The Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-F4 is also good. Alot of people use it on the Panasonic S5 Mark 1 and Mark 2. The Sigma 18-35 is also on my shopping list for my Nikon D5500
Should I go with this.? Recently i bought black magic 6k G2 i am confusing to buy which one i should buy Is it worth in 2024..? Or give me suggestion which one i should buy I am from India
ima a noob to all the information and tools available in this field. silly question, if i select a spot on the view finder, does this adapter allow me to move foward and backward while maintaining focus lock on a subject all on its own? when using with the 18 to 35 on a bmpcc 6 k. ?
Great stuff man. I was debating to purchase it soon but is there anything similar or newer than was released recently or do you think I should purchase this lens even if it was released 10 years ago?
@@GertjanVanVooren Cool. Thanks! :) I'm just surprised that Sigma or no other lenses brand created a more advanced lens in the past 10 years. I guess the lens must be that good after all those years :)
