Everyone should watch this Fishermen's video - Amazing Automatic Net Fishing Line, Catch and processing big fish on the sea Cre: Martin N - Watch more sea fishing videos at: / essolesso
I followed your recommendation and watched this "Fishermen's Video". The job of a Fisherman is not a walk in the park. The automatic net fishing line is truly amazing and only skilled workers can keep up with the pace. A fisherman who has no razor sharp skills will just mess up the processing time of the fish and cause huge delays and huge losses. thumbs up for this video.
Large scale Trot lining system (Paragatte in some other languages) is the safest way of fishing it is basically line fishing done with 2000-3000 plus hooks tied 1-2 metres apart. Its dropped to the bottom of the sea bed with weights to keep the line at the bottom. The line is retrieved after a certain time and any untargeted or no commercial value fish like Rays etc are released back to the sea immediately. Absolutely Zero harm done to any species and to the environment
All my life I’ve watched the long line fishing boats and equipment in the ocean but I have never seen the harvesting before. You guys are tough as nails!
Ex longliner here , longline fishishing is a good environmentally fishing method.unlike nets that catch and kill everything, longliners target one specific species at a time.i can honestly say I've never wasted a kill. For example if you caught a shark, that died, I used him as cut bait.nothing made the crew madder , but all forgiving on payday.
Saya terus terang kagum dngn ke gi2han para nelayan, yg tiap hari kerja tak knl lelah. Semangat trs bro, nafkahi anak/istrimu dngn hasil keringatmu, biar hidup tambah berkah. Amin
I'm fine thank you. It's better than manually pulled by hands. Faster to pulled all the fish in board. Safe time and human energy. Good job guys. God bless.
@@BhanuKaplish Oh yeah, fish will be extint so will men since we don't know how to respect this world! We only know how to destroy everything. So it's rather a good thing that we will disappear! Nature will survive us though.
This is fishing mostly with longline gear , a type of hook and line fishing that has been used for centuries. It looks pretty selective, in terms of targeting species. If you watch the whole video there are hardly any fish thrown back, maybe 2 or 3 I saw. The work is being done at a fast pace, so they take a lot of fish, but if they are within regulations as to species, quota or total allowable catch, and season they are working within conservation guidelines.
I'm not against commercial fishing, but when I go salmon fishing, I have to use barbless hooks. I can't keep anything under 24 inches. I can only keep hatchery fish and I have to release the natives. I am limited to 1 or 2 per day. The season is incredibly short. I usually book my trip but half the time I have to cancel it because the season abruptly ends before I can go fishing. I have to get up at 4am and take a 1.5 hour boat ride to the fishing spot, and then spend most of the day throwing back the native salmon I catch and watching them get devoured by the sea lions immediately. Cheers everybody.
Phil Raymond..Crazy and extremely unfair, isn't it?!!? Those are PAYED OFF POLITICIANS for us! 🤬🤬👹👹👺👺👿👿👿 They don't care about anything or anybody except themselves and their 💸💸💸💸 !!
Not to mention hatchery fish and it's whole system is set up by the government AND ruins the local habitat (through the loss of genetic diversity). The sad answer in today's age is to avoid fish all in all.
Maybe, one difference is that that you fish for fun an they fish to for a living (and to feed people) and the othet is that they fish at sea where there is still some fish while you fish in rivers and lakes where fish are more scarce...
@@TheBarbarella76 No. The majority of sports fishing for salmon is done in the ocean. Once the salmon enters a river to go spawning they don't eat anymore. They might bite because the bait or the lure gets on there nerves. But it's difficult to hook them in rivers.
Large catch of halibut may decrease their numbers in the sea. Is there any form of controlling the fishermen from depleting the supply of fish or set a limit for fishing zone in the area.
