Total greed….happening in all the worlds oceans. I’ve seen it, crossing oceans in 1990s, fishing boat lights everywhere. Crossing again in 2012, no lights, all fished out!
This mechanized, megascale fishing has been going on all over the world's oceans for nearly 100 years now. (I've been at it myself for a little while). That's why there's not much left. We're chasing smaller and smaller catches with bigger and bigger boats. Can't end well.

Factory ships like this are the reason the numbers of fish in the ocean are dramatically decreasing. Moreover, they just throw away the fish they don't want. Because of a severe lack of concern for preservation of the fish in the worlds oceans, they are disappearing. When they are gone, they're gone. Then what?
It’s well known big scale over fishing by Americans and Europeans caused depletion of fishes and tuna fishing by Japanese is almost wiped out tuna species. But, the usual propaganda always blaming China instead. To me every country over fish especially those big commercial American and European fishing fleets.

Ok, Ah, if the cod was overfished and didn't return, then where is the cod and pollack coming from in my local SUPERMARKET? They have salted cod available all year round, not just for Christmas Eve and Good Friday. And plenty of Fresh and frozen too. I live in Staten Island N.Y. Btw, I don't buy farm raised salmon or any other farm raised Sea food because of the problems with that industry. I only buy Wild Caught by Fishermen.
This is not amazing, and what do you do when you have emptied the sea? What are these destructive human beings doing to sustain fishing stocks, absolutely nothing. The greed is disgusting and this is a crime against the world.
How many years to fetch the fish to this size ? then wiped out in a few hours. This is not fishing its extermination. Fish with conservation in mind and the sea will be kind and every one wins. But this can not last
