I am a fisherman. I have been for more than 50 years. I love fishing. I don't find this video "amazing." I find it repulsive, a rape of sea life. Fish farm instead of destroying our resources.
Utter rubbish. Russian factory ships are repulsive. This is in the Third World getting tuna in season in their large shoals. When they've caught enough their wives will gut them & canned for their region. I've seen the Alaskan crab fishing & lobsters stuffing them into their holds. No different.
Actually this is a more sustainable way to fish, unlike other commercial fishing, which tow a big net behind the ship, and haul in tons of fishes and other sea lives in one big haul.
ini tehnik pancing Huhate (Pole and Line). biasanya untuk pancing ikan cakalang. Sangat populer di Indonesia Timur sekitar peraian Maluku This is "Huhate" fishing technique, or called Pole and Line. Effective for medium size of Tuna fish. this technique is popular among Moluccas fishermen East Indonesia seawater
I have watched this video over and over again and I still couldn't figure out how they caught the fish. The fisherman didn't put any lure on their lines and they didn't have to unhook the fish, very puzzling.
The fish are in a feeding frenzy where they will strike at anything. The guy in the yellow oilskins on the stern of the boat is throwing bait (chum) to keep the fish crazy trying to strike at anything shiny. Unfortunately for the fish, the shiny thing is usually just a hook without a barb, so the fish are hooked just long enough to jerk it aboard and then it slips off the hook.
Between September and October time frame, my son and I used to go to Mexico Beach in FL and school of blue fish were migrating at that time and we used to do this. You can just get tired fishing from the beach because they were that size.
I am so glad the man who fillets the fish does not work for amazon and the lizard man Bezos. This is true skill at work. He does his job with such expertise and does not seem rushed at all.
Those activities will never come again if the chinese fisherman wont stop fielding big ships in the philippine sea(chinese catched even the smaller ones, till they came to that stage grown up, now you are enjoying.} all countries should help now stop chinese trawlers....
This is the return in their cycle of life. They swim thousands and thousands of miles to arrive at a site where they unite, and then start their return to their beginning and they are weak, starving, and practically physically dead from the excessive strain on their bodies and spirt, that they think the lures put our in front of their faces by the fishermen, they bite and are destined to death. This is not right, we are nothing more than predators and deserve what we get.
@@freshprinceofsolair You get several hundred Chinese or Japanese vessels doing this , then it quickly becomes unsustainable ! Make no mistake , the chinese fleet has thousands, fishing almost worldwide ! And the Japanese destruction of whales is horrendous!
@@peterolsen269 Sure, we can continue to justify everything we is sustainable. Pretty soon, we won't have fishes in the ocean, no land to build our homes because it's flooding everywhere and no vegetation anywhere because it's just too hot. Sure keep justifying until everything is gone.
@@woof3482 Turn the News off sweetheart and do a little research. The only solution is one that no one wants to talk about, that is cutting the world population in half. Mandatory, one child and just Genocide against those that can't maintain a zero emissions lifestyle. I don't think you are up to it city girl. I've lived in austere conditions most of my life, Alaska, Thailand, Bangladesh and would have no problem living a subsistance lifestyle with NO Children.. Are you prepared for that?
@@plinnytheother6107 Are you even reading my responses.. I have lived that way for more than 80% of my adult life. Darling.. wow.. come on over and sing into my microphone, a little karaoke perhaps. Good God man.. get a clue. I'm on my way back to Bangladesh as we speak.
Ergo the moratorium on cod fishing off Newfoundland and Labrador. 30 years after the moratorium was introduced, populations of cod are stagnant. Unfortunately, cod may very well be extinct in the next 5 - 10 years.
Come on. This method is way better than using nets.. How bout that video where the catch bluefin use nets. That's 100s to thousands of bluefin.... Can u imagine the damage of that magnitude.. 👀👀👀👀👀
