I like how the different endings really do feel different. You could make an anime out of either the Truthful and Moral routes since Moral alone has a complete enough story, but of course Truthful would be the preference. The Wrathful and Harmony routes feel unique with the choices certain characters make in each scenario. Overall great game.
Honestly, I think you could make a pretty compelling anime about the world of the wrathful ending. A dystopian future where government corruption and hostile kemonogami run rampant, with Takuma and his group of vigilantes protecting innocent humans and monsters from rampant injustice. This stuff practically writes itself!
The Moral and Truthful endings feel closest to the actual Digimon lore. The Wrathful ending feels like an X-Men story where bonded humans and their partners fight against prejudice and hatred. The Harmony one feels like a best case s enario of the Wrathful ending where humanity and Digimon work together.
If I direct a video game called Digimon Heroes it features all characters from both Tamers and Frontier making both seasons exist in the same universe, all digimon from all seasons aside Adventure 02, non-canon seasons like App Monsters and a few from Savers, Angie/Akari Hinomoto and Jeremy/Zenjiro Tsurugi from Fusion also appear respectively.
If there's a sequel or even just a dlc story add on, I wonder if we'll get other types of digivolution. Like, with demiveemon showing up and there already being DNA digivolutions in the game, maybe we could see armors and even other fusions?
@@kizutoakashi2421 quite a bit darker, they're all victims of one or the other thing, mental issues, battling trauma, fear, abused monsters eat their owners. Precisely what I like about Digimon, the more adult themes and real issues - none of that happy go lucky, "oh how am I gonna have fun and be happy today" from pokemon
Agumon speaks like the one in Adventure (its Chika sakamoto of course). If he dissapeared in kizuna maybe had the change travel to meet and work with digidestined.
A sequel or anime is likely considering how many loved it. This time around maybe with ancient Digimon and a Story about the Ancient Warriors. Survive could need a Dlc featuring the Devas to put more lore to the Four Sovereigns. And that kid at the end is probably Takumas Child but with who then i hoped for a Romance route and would like if thats get added with a dlc even going so far at when there is a sequel that depending who you choose as your lover changes your Partner Digimon in the Sequel.
@@TruthTrald Well considering that you are right. But either he had a girl after and did it instantly because it gets a lot mentioned about that he is romantic and wants a girlfriend. When Saki for example lives only until she gets adult i can imagine that they made a child at least before she dies but thats only speculation.
@@RpgBlasterRpg that way they need to change many things and true ending includes that everyone lives what is impossible except you mean the end from the Wrath route. The end Result could be the same but without that some of them died. But its difficult i would do it like that. Make all episodes the same except true ending until chapter 8. And then make four episodes for each end. And the true ending then is the only one who needs to be a bit changed.
Ok some of this are negative Forms, but I enjoy how most of them have a ultimate Evolution. You can play the Party whit Voltobautamon, Plutomon, Omegamon/Huanglongmon, Zuquiaomon, Quinglongmon, Xangwumon, and Baihumon. There are only two changes I would make. Omegamon and Huanglongmon for Agumon is a bit much, if Cerubimon, BanchoStingmon, and Sakuyamon got nothing. Same whit Labramon, I would have given someone else Baihumon. But its pretty nice regardless.
Well, to be exact, the ruins look different since the confrontation against Piedmon, so it's been a long time since the definitive union of the human world and the digiworld.
Hey! Thanks for the ending of the truthful route, to be honest, I was hoping I could see every game of the truthful route like their conversation and their interaction and all the cutscenes of it so I could see the difference. Hence, it was disappointing but at least there is the ending so I'm glad I could see it! Disappointing but still glad in the end, I guess!
So some questions. Why do the kids say they're called Digimon, or Digital Monsters at the end? Do we ever get an explanation for what the heck Digimon are in this game? I'm so confused. Are they in the Digital World? Are they even Digital at all? If they just turned them in to Yokai that's kinda boring and defeats the purpose of Digimon doesn't it?
@@pinoygoukirage right I know that much, I'm just confused why they call them that when they explain them as kemonogami in the story!? Like there's never really any mention of them being Digital Monsters or of the Digital World that I'm aware of.
Even the creator of Digimon has kinda suggested in interviews that Digimon were once Yokai but overtime evolved like any other creature, they adapted and became digital creatures. Essentially Belief took on a new form in the age of numbers. Possibility became Probability. This was even hinted at a bit decades ago in Digimon 02 with the World of Dreams that connects to the Digital World. This finale seems to be hinting at the start of the changeover from spiritual to digital possibly. Also that very specific appearance at the end has further implications. Didn't an early episode of 02 say Veemon was a very ancient Digimon species when he was originally revealed?
Reference from moral route Takuma and other probably posting video and picture from other world online and that story become urban legend, it can be seen how popular it is by kid go to shrine to get a Digimon. By faith of people in the form digital information on the internet the other world information get updated and constantly reworked and with every update people think more and more about other world. That digital data will become new form of belief to sustains it and that world get a name, which is "Digital World". Every monster in other world once regarded as Kemonogami will be transformed into digital being in this internet age and called as "Digimon"
Hope you post the video for other ending like wrathful , also i think you are one of the first who post this ending and harmonious route on one RU-vid channel so congratulations 🙂👍
They basically took the route of pitching a second game under the same story direction as the second series of digimon. Four masters and the second line of digimon except applied to a different story. Demiveemon is the next protagonist, where as David and Veemon were the second protags. If they were smart, they would take the extreme gripes of this one and make sure they correct it for the second game. It’ll be more accepted that way. It took fifteen years in development being tossed around and still only had the interaction of a ps1 game. They would be better off dropping a digimon world 3 remaster. The entire world would go crazy then.
many began to say that Digimon survive is garbage, is this worth it? , etc etc Of course it will not surpass Digimon cyber slaught but it is not right to despise survive either since it has some new events at the same time that it hardly touches anything "childish" in the title , It is no longer just "the magic of friendship defeats any evil force no matter how powerful it is" more like "The weight of being a tamer or chosen child in an unknown world where you can have a Creatures like your friends, others try to kill you or simply others go through pain for many years and the only way to end that pain is to kill everything that is born in its path, That includes you, new player, use your morality and reasons in this game if you want something that defies the psychological, are you a good leader or a fool just ordering other children and creatures To survive?" That's what I see in survive
Thanks for the endings. I'd play the game myself but I really, REALLY hate visual novels even though I like Digimon. (I tried) It's like liking chocolate but hating mint, Then trying chocolate mint and hating that too.
The visual novel style will definitely be off putting to most gamers, myself included, but the storytelling more than makes up for that "downside" if you could call it that. Well within my first playthrough myself and already enjoying the experience.
Yea, I agree, I wasn't happy with this style of game. I mean I enjoyed it, but I'm upset I spent 60 bucks on a visual novel with bad translations and after thought combat. I much rather would have had another digimon world game.
I kinda felt a little cheated that you simply can't get the best ending on first run, but I did go in completely blindly. With that being said, it was great. Much better than I initially anticipated. I hope we will get a new Digimon game every so often that tries to be unique. Also, the tactical rpg aspect of it worked remarkably well, I'd say better than mainline games.
Is there any additional scene after credit end beside the photo? I skipped the credit and saw the photo, just curious if there any scene before that. BTW IMO the ending was not a sequel. Sure Veemon seems like will be the next game partner, but neither of 3 kids has special design on their outfit/hair.
I don't think we really need a direct sequel to Survive itself as it ends on a good note canonically (I assume anyway), but I certainly wouldn't mind more games styled like it (especially with characters being able to actually permanently die).
I can't watch yet cuz I haven't got here, all I can say for now is ill be pissed if they don't get to keep their Richmond partners permanently after all they change been through. If it ends with them having to say goodbye, then it is a bad end In my eyes.
clear the game first then start new game plus, then on your 2nd Playthrough, make sure to boost Ryo's affinity in order to save him and the rest of the party, just make a save before answering any questions so that if you choose the wrong answer you can always load back
I ended up getting the ending where ryo and shuji died, didn't care much, I couldn't stand either of them, plus I got omnimon, I didn't see that in your evolution options.
@@pinoygoukirage ah. Because not liking ryo/shuuji happens when people try to focus on (skewed) morals without knowing the truth/full picture. And when truth is the focus, then they're saved. Because that also makes the morality actually correct with truth as the foundation
