@@thedude5472 Ah yes, that you are right about. Although I find it common for kids to be freaked out by not being able to touch the ground when they're seated, even though the seat height was fine for them. I think this may have been one of those situations.
Ancient metod of getting on the bike:put left leg on left pedal (or opposite if it's easier for you) then go forward a bit to get some momentum and on the end just go across with right leg on right pedal. That's it.

i bought a fat-bike .sINCERELY I wanted the same Mongoose but only the shipment to Bolivia costs the same as the bike price. But seaching in a lot Bike stores i'VE found a Cross-G fat-bike and it costs the same as the mongoose and it has 21 speeds .. so i bought it and now i am happier riding it. ☺

You need to teach the child how to mount a bike! You never have your feet on the ground when you're on the saddle! Straddle the top tube and raise your seat to the saddle as you push off. Teach the child how to ride properly and she will ride for a lifetime.
JMPLAYS YT you are a dumbass who has no idea what he's talking about. In order to pedal efficiently the seat has to be high enough for your leg to be almost completely straight at the bottom of the pedal stroke. This means that you won't be able to touch the ground from the saddle. Also, she wasn't mounting it correctly.
Dylan Smothermon it depends on the riding you're doing. Average riding, (street cycling) would be with the leg almost straight. If I were mtb, I would have it with a slight angle. If I were dh mtb I would have it where my feet are 100% flat on the ground.

That's nice. I remember when I was smaller than her and I was riding my dad's tall road bike. I obviously couldn't reach the floor too, but if you can get on the seat and touch the pedals you're fine.
The saddle is fine for her on its lowest position. She needs to learn to slide forward off the saddle for when she comes to a halt to get both feet on the ground. You shouldn’t be able to put both feet on the ground when seated.
The seat actually looked like it was the perfect height for her. You are not supposed to reach the ground from the seat but adjust it for best pedaling height and climb down from seat when you stopping.
Probably a cheap Chinese website, go to a bike shop its way better there than department stores. You'll save a lot of money, well it's better to buy one 1000 dollar bike than 10 100 dollar bikes.

Truth11100, sure, they can be great bikes. After you replace all the components and the frame. No but seriously upgrading them is a joke, you spend just as much to get a functioning bike as you paid for the bike itself.
Agreed. This is for someone who likes to fool around on huge tires without going offroad much. For me, I'd go for a 2013 Surly Pugsley. Most bike shops give you a $200 discount on the MSRP to sell them quickly. The Surly is incredibly light for what it is. It weighs a tad more than my old school 10-speed. With Black Floyds the bike rides very well on pavement.
Kevin LaRoe My buddy works at my LBS and he says the first thing people say after riding their demo Moonlander is "Gosh it's so light!" A heavy bike doesn't want you to ride it often. A few hundred grams doesn't matter much, but the difference between the Mongoose and a Pugsley huge. My LBS gives a discount for all 2013 bikes to sell them before the winter, which includes the fatties. Why buy a bike you won't ride?
BTR Garage the seat post is kinked at the top meaning that when the seat is fully slammed the clamp cannot keep the seat in place as there is nothing for the frame to grab onto
