I bought one (the shipping scale / Amazon link) a few years ago. Just this year I noticed the 'Hold' button. 😛 Saves time!

@@ivault3 When a package is so large that you cannot read the display. If you can't read the display, you press the hold button. You then take your package off of the scale, and read the display's weight. On a scale that doesn't have the hold function, you would then need to weigh each individual item, then add up the amounts weight, to determine the shipping weight.. including the shipping box and dunnage.

I read online you can print from library if you don’t have a printer. and tape it on.

Yes, this is very much needed vlog. It sure went by me quickly but I hopefully was able put it in my system. I just listed my first item on eBay after 50+ years. I know it’s easier with repeated exposures. Again, tnx for the lesson 😺.

Another small tip regarding the End of Day scan form. For those that may not be aware, you can print this form on a 4x6 and the barcode will still scan as it would a full sheet. Even though my carrier does not use the scan form (they are rural carriers and get more credit for individually scanning) my in the office USPS folks love it.

Carlos Cano they’re factors into play and can depend on the size of the box and it’s location! Remember it’s cubic shipping! For a 1lb item I wouldn’t use cubic shipping, I’ll use a flat rate envelope or padded flat rate; if it fits. In your case I’ll use Mercari bc at $4.99 for a pound its a great deal, that’s a first class rate 👌🏽I don’t sell on Mercari but I’m sure that’s a special price for them. My item was so compact and small is why I’m guessing I got the rate I got!

Can I ask you a question, so in the video I don’t know if you watched the whole thing but it was $9 to get to him and if I do that I will be losing money because my shipping is $5.99 but if I personally print it , from there will usps know it’s from there and charge cheaper shipping?

It depends what you are shipping and how much your package weighs to find out the cost. It may be cheaper or it may be more expensive depending. If you lose a little money then you will learn for next time.

Thanks for watching. Padded flat rate won't be any cheaper on pirateship, I actually think it's about 2% cheaper on eBay. Not exactly sure why. This is one of the outliers 🤣🙏

thecollegepicker , to be honest I just didn’t look at the labels after I printed them. I thought that all I had to do was print all and the labels would come up with each buyers information and it didn’t. So by me not checking twice, I got myself in a pickle. I’m not a height volume seller either. I wouldn’t trust trying to spool all your sales in one group. That’s the only fall back I can see. Pirate ship is my go to shipping site. I don’t even bother with USPS or eBay labels anymore. I do use my Paypal business debit card as my payment form and I get 1% cash back on shipping 😉

Glad you enjoyed! =) Padded flat rate for whatever reason is 2% cheaper on ebay. Pirate ship is good for small heavy things that do not fit in padded flat rate. Cubic rate =)

Before the USPS went to the DIM rate last June, Pirateship was the bomb for me! After that Pirateship is rarely cheaper. I believe it is because they implemented ZONES and since I live in the middle of the country my pricing is different than someone more towards a coastal area. Example, before the DIM rate went into effect, you and I were charged the same rate for a 3lb. box to California. Now with the DIM weight - ZONES, your cost is higher than mine for the same box because you are further so Pirateship helps you out. I shipped some shoes to California yesterday, 3lb and 9 oz. Pirateship was a $1.04 more:) Every once in a while though I get to pull off the box in and tricks and save some money:)

Any suggestions on how to get the 3 customs forms to print larger when shipping with UPS internationally? The actual UPS label always seems to print the normal size (3.5" x 5.5"), but the customs forms print so tiny (3.25" x 4.0") that they are unreadable. I have tried to change settings within Pirate Ship as well as my printer and I cannot figure it out.

I have also noticed Priority packages shipped through PirateShip say they come w/ $100 insurance whereas normally Priority through USPS onlys come w/ $50 insurance standard. Do you know if this is an extra benefit offered through PirateShip? Or is this a typo in the rates?

I use ebay and can ship through paypal or ebay and they have both have bulk shipping that allows u to print all labels at the same time. for first class you dont even have to measure. u only add weight now. bad thing is you have to realy work your way up for the juicy usps discounts.

I just need some clarification: Soooo does this mean if I would like to send out mail NOT affiliated with a small business or service, I can still purchase my labels through Pirate Ship as long as I have a label machine like Rollo?? I know it comes with a customs declaration form already with the label but can I just ship it like that or I need to add a separate declaration form with the label in order to ship the item? Very Informative. I am a beginner, I just created the USPS register account where they provided me a user name with a password. Therefore when I went to integrate with my Square account where I have my products listed, a chat representative told me I have to pay to integrate. The other source where I have my products listed is on Facebook Business page and Market. I am still confused about how to integrate for free with a USPS account to ship? I also have a Website with Wix sites where my products are listed as well. I am very confused, can you guide me more specifically on what is my next step if I don't have my personal printer yet, which I already watch all your videos on how to print.

I have a Dymo 4XL printer and I have my Pirate Ship settings on 4x6, however, when I print it out, it is a very small label that prints out on the label. It is about 2x3.5 on the 4x6 label. I contacted Customer Service and they could not help. Can you help?

If I don't have a printer, can I take a picture of the label and go to the UPS store and they can scan the picture of the label and print a copy of the label there? Thanks.

When you choose a flat rate priority box from Usps, are the rates different than EBay or USPS?

I just started mailing decals, which are really light weight and simple, but shipping is still $4 for first class and $8 for priority. I tried looking into this, and ITS MORE EXPENSIVE than the post office. I came up as almost $6 for first class. WTH?

If they are decals you should be able to use forever stamps and save a lot of money.
