🔧 In this special video, you’ll witness the precise disassembly process of a 662 kW electric motor with a speed of 650 rpm from the reputable brand ABB. We’ll show you how a technical issue can turn into a learning opportunity.
🛠️ About a month ago, one of our long-standing clients contacted us after noticing an increase in temperature at the front end of the motor. Upon initial inspection, we discovered that the motor’s shaft had corroded where the bearing is installed. Considering the client’s need to keep the production line running, we temporarily fixed the bearing in place with special adhesive.
🔩 Now that the production line has been halted for repairs, the motor has been brought to our workshop for comprehensive servicing. In this video, you’ll see the rotor disassembly and its shipment to the welding and machining workshop for shaft corrosion repair.
