@@VuBeClan the mileage in the ECU and cluster can be altered easily. The data stored in other modules that store it i.e ABS etc, not so much. This has definitely had one of those Aliexpress mileage blockers fitted in the cluster at some point rather than having the mileage actually altered.
Yes confidence and drive to see through issues or really intricate issues. Most of us could figure out how to fix or complete upgrades, but able to push through without getting disgruntled and having the patience.

All those electrical mods, the device, the poor paint and accessory condition at the front, and the general mankiness of the engine and running gear, point to the mileage being original, but the car has been on a track....lots....and at some time, it's blown a gearbox and been replaced by a much older one. Best of luck with the repairs!

Glad your health is getting better and you still enjoy working on cars. Looks pretty much like a track car to me. Here in germany the track rental cars at the Nürburgring usually also look a Little Stone blasted after a few seasons of track usage.

Hey, looking on that black box it seems like tracking device and following logic of why this tracking device was in the car...it was a rent a car. This is the reason why mileage could have been rolled back for the purpose of selling it, most of rent companies of supercars does it. Interesting project, subscribed.
pretty sure they wont renegotiate unless you go the legal route. Just saw an article where guy bought ferrari which was milage tampered and he had to sue the dealer to get some deprecation refund, i think he got like 15-20% back, but legal way is always a bit tedious and slow.

So glad you are on the mend. So many things point to track use and a few trips thru the gravel traps! Plenty of other modules will give you an indication of mileage.
hi, video was great! helped me a lot.. just wondering, the blocker you talk about, if there was one installed, would it only show the odometer ? or also transmission ? i just bought a 2018 with 7500 and i did the read with vcds and transmission matches the odometer.. but just made me think ..
Surely you should do what the car's suggesting to you - a twin-turbo V10 rallycross car! As you already need to change the shocks, just put a lift kit on it and some nice chunky shoes...

Peter i live in Toronto 🇨🇦 and ill tell you we have car thief's in the automotive industry here it's crazy and ill let you know 95 % of used cars are more valuable out of the country then in Canada and it really depends on province it's in bcs of the roads are terrible i would say and guess it's above 100 thousand klm people beat there cars and no maintenance at all until it doesn't drive or dangerous and i would bet it's bcs so many mechanics are scammering costumers Lately you cannot even get a good used vehicle bcs USA $ valve and Canada daller so low we get more value both side the daller and they even pay more for the car Im talking about this and 40 years Porsche and VW mechanic and seen it all Anyone who lives in Canada never buys the vehicle without it up on the hoist and as you see it tells the truth about the car not milage sorry about your luck on that car but if anyone could make it right and beautiful again it you bcs of your knowledge ✌🇨🇦
Maybe go back to the dealership and show them these facts in order too get some money back for the car? It was sold with "20k" on the odometer but facts and data don’t lie when you found out it’s actually at 90k!

Most likely this R8 was a rental, this is why it has a tracking device in it, and mileage was changed I just hope you really got good deal because very few mechanics know how to work on them outside of of the dealer

Maybe you car is actually 20K Km, but your gearbox has been replaced for an used 90K Km due to a rear quarter side impact hitting the rear axle [joints] and transfer impact until the gearbox casing. 🤔 Check if the rear left wheel is compatible [date] with the other ones.
